Kindness is how we slow things down, remind each other we’re human, and say: “I see you, I’ve got you.” 💕

In our LGBTQ+ community—especially here on the border—so many of us carry invisible stuff: grief, fear, exhaustion, healing. A small act of care, a smile at group, holding the door at The Center, checking on a friend… it all adds up. 🌈✨

Let’s be the generation that proves we can’t control the systems, but we can control how we treat each other. Be soft, be loud, be you—and be kind. 🫶

Happy Thanksgiving! While many associate the holiday with the Pilgrims and Plymouth in 1621, the first Thanksgiving in what is now the United States actually took place in St. Augustine, Florida, on September 8, 1565. Spanish explorer Pedro Menéndez de Avilés and his crew held a feast of thanksgiving with the local Timucua people after a Catholic Mass, sharing food and gratitude. This often-overlooked historical event reminds us that Thanksgiving's spirit of unity and gratitude has deep and diverse roots.
