Today marks the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision in Bostock v. Clayton County. Six years ago, a historic 6-3 ruling permanently changed the landscape of equality in America, declaring that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act protects LGBTQIA+ workers from being fired simply for who they are or who they love.

This was a massive milestone. It gave millions of q***r and trans folks across the country—and right here in St. Johns County—the peace of mind that their livelihood couldn't be stripped away because of their identity. It is a victory worth shouting from the rooftops, especially during Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

But as we celebrate how far we’ve come, we also look at the horizon. True equality doesn't stop at the workplace. In the face of ongoing anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation, school board battles, and threats to healthcare, our fire hasn't dimmed.

We celebrate the victories, we honor the advocates who fought to get us here, and we keep our boots on the ground for the work still left to do.

Celebrate Juneteenth with House of Prism. 🖤🤎🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

We honor Freedom Day—a vital moment to reflect on liberation, resilience, and the ongoing fight for true equality.

At House of Prism, we know that our struggles are deeply intertwined. There is no LGBTQIA+ liberation without Black liberation. The crossroads of Black and Q***r identities have shaped our history, our pride, and our progress—from the steps of Stonewall led by Black trans women to the grassroots activism driving change today.

True solidarity means showing up for one another, listening, and dismantling the systems of oppression that affect us all. Today, tomorrow, and every day, we stand united.

🗺️ THE ROUTE IS SET! 🏳️‍🌈✨
Get your PRIDE flags and clacker fans ready, St. Augustine! The Pride Parade route is officially here, and it is going to be an absolutely joyful celebration of love, community, and visibility.

Here is everything you need to know to march with us or cheer us on:
📍 Where We Meet: We are congregating at the historic Lightner Museum (75 King Street) at 8:30 AM.
⏰ Step-Off: The parade begins promptly at 8:45 AM.

👟 The Parade Route:
From the Lightner Museum, we will take Granada Street to Bridge Street, and then march proudly down Martin Luther King Ave, finishing our celebration at The Willie Galimore Recreation Center and Eddie Vickers Park.

✊ Honoring History: This specific march route holds deep meaning for our city. It is deeply reminiscent of the historic civil rights marches that took place right here in St. Augustine in 1964. As we walk these same streets today, we carry that legacy forward, continuing the journey toward true equity.
