TRIPADVISOR ALERT!!!

Very informative, the tour guide was excellent!!!!

This place exceeded our expectations. Chad is an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. He gave us a brief review of the town history, mentioning some very interesting details that we did not hear in other historic tours throughout the town. After this, he did blacksmith and shooting demonstrations. My husband is a history geek, and he really liked this tour. There is a couple of hands-on activities for kids in addition to the demonstrations, like wight-lifting and knot-tieing.

When you visit us at the Explorer's Passport be sure to view the fountain on the side of the building that was given as a gift to St. Augustine from Aviles, Spain. The fountain is a replica of a fountain in Aviles known as the Fuentos de los Canos de San Francisco and features 6 faces with water pouring from their mouths.

The St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum along with the St. Augustine Swashbucklers are proud to be an active participant in this year’s “Pink Up the Pace” run on Saturday, October 7th. The run raises money to assist uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients, while raising awareness of the disease and the importance of early detection. The runners course takes them directly in front of the museum’s courtyard, which will be filled with well-wishers from the St. Augustine Swashbucklers (all of whom will be wearing pink bandannas to support the cause). Water cups will be available for all thirsty runners. With the historic Castillo De San Marcos as a backdrop, the Pirate Museum Courtyard will be a great place for shooting pictures and video of the event, and members of the press/media are heartily encouraged to do so. After the run, and throughout the day – The Pirate Museum and Colonial Quarter will offer free admission to any runners wearing their race bib. Race participants’ family members will receive a 50% discount as well.

This marks the third consecutive year that the St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum will be a sponsor for the cause – and we look forward to continuing the tradition until the disease is eradicated.

Both the Pirate Museum and the Colonial Quarter are now officially certified Autism Centers for travelers. Read about what this organization does to alleviate travel issues and stress for families with members who are autistic. We are proud to be involved with them!

When a child is first diagnosed on the autism spectrum, parents often feel incredibly alone and isolated. This feeling of alienation can impact the family as a whole. It is normal to wonder and not know what is to come. The best antidote to the worry is to find connection in the here and now. Lisa R...

TRIPADVISOR ALERT!!!

Fantastic presentation!
Being a teacher of 5th graders, I have enjoyed colonial town tours in other places. This one was fantastic! I learned new information, which I truly appreciate! Ellie, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny, and very enjoyable! I highly recommend this tour. I've been to St Augustine many times in my life but this was a first.
