Preschool Teacher

Bethlehem Early Childhood Center (ECC) seeks a passionate lead teacher for our preschool program (ages 3-5). We prioritize staff support and work-life balance, offering:
• Consistent daily schedule
• Daily dedicated paid prep time
• Small class sizes
• Paid professional development opportunities

Responsibilities:
• Rule 3 Lead Teacher Requirements
• Classroom leadership
• Curriculum/lesson planning
• Knowledge of early childhood best practices
• Team collaboration
• Enjoy working with children

Hours: Full-time (M-F 8:00-4:30) or part-time mornings considered.
Anticipated Starting Compensation: $18.00-$20.00/hour + benefits (dental, FSA, health, HSA, PTO, retirement, vision). Wage may be negotiable for highly qualified candidates.

Bethlehem Lutheran Early Childhood Center - Lead Teacher
POSITION SUMMARY: Teacher of Bethlehem Early Childhood Center (ECC) is responsible for providing leadership in the classroom
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
• Monitor and document Developmental progress of all children in your classroom
• Conduct conferences with all families twice a year
•Work with Assistant Teacher if ratio applies
• Provide a safe environment following all established program policies
• Follow established curriculum
• Plan, supervise and implement all aspects of the classroom
• Consider individual cultural and socio-economic needs of families
• Work with staff in curriculum management and planning
• Demonstrate understanding of appropriate behavior guidance practices
• Set-up and maintain appropriate classroom environment to meet the needs of age group served
• Provide positive experience for children and families
Additional Duties
• Attend required training and staff meetings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Meet Rule 3 Teacher eligible licensing requirements
• Current pediatric CPR and First Aid preferred
• Completion of a successful background check
HOURS: Full-Time Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 OR will consider part time morning for the right candidate.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary is negotiable, commensurate with training and experience. This is a benefits eligible position. The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Personnel Policies describe the benefits offered in more detail. Examples of benefits offered are: health insurance, continuing education, long-term disability insurance, paid vacation and sick time.

Bethlehem Lutheran Preschool offers high quality early childhood education for children ages 33 months-5 years old.

Bethlehem Lutheran Preschool has been inspiring and nurturing young children in St. Cloud and surrounding communities since 1965. Each classroom includes highly-educated, creative, and committed teachers. Goals and objectives come from the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. Classrooms are set up based on “The Creative Curriculum”. Bethlehem Preschool is filled with developmentally appropriate activities. Children experience creative and process oriented art, have opportunities to learn through play both indoors and out, and engage with other children and adults. Bethlehem Early Childhood Center is a place where families and educators join together allowing children to flourish and grow.

We offer both full and part-time care with an integrated preschool program. A limited number of half day preschool-only options are available. Our goal is to prepare each child for kindergarten and beyond in a warm and caring atmosphere.
