Desert Emergence showcases what happens when creativity, education, and craftsmanship come together. Built through the collaboration of students from several Washington County high schools, this 1,786-square-foot home transforms hands-on learning into a beautifully finished residence.

Designed by Amy Trujillo of Drawing Room Plans, the single-level home features four bedrooms and two baths, complemented by custom cabinetry, engineered wood flooring, cased windows, and detailed tilework throughout.

Dixie High School’s Interior Design Class brought the interiors to life with thoughtful selections that add warmth, character, and personality to every room.

More than a home, Desert Emergence represents the possibilities created when students are given the opportunity to learn by doing, proving that great design can inspire both today’s homeowners and tomorrow’s builders.

Parade Builders Give Back

The impact of the St. George Area Parade of Homes extends far beyond the homes featured each year. SUHBA Parade Builders continue to demonstrate their commitment to Southern Utah by supporting organizations and causes that strengthen our community.
 
In addition to the $46,000 to local nonprofits and community organizations, Parade Builders contributed $15,600 to the SUHBA Political Action Committee (PAC), supporting advocacy efforts on behalf of the building industry and housing in Southern Utah.
 
These contributions reflect the generosity and community-minded spirit of the builders who make the Parade possible. They aren’t just building homes—they’re investing in the people, programs, and organizations that help make Southern Utah a great place to live.
 
We are proud to recognize our Parade Builders for giving back and making a meaningful difference in our community.

Some homes make an impression, while others become a lasting part of the Parade of Homes experience. Obsidian by Split Rock Custom Homes was one of those standouts at the 2026 Parade of Homes.

Set among the dramatic lava fields of Black Desert, this nearly 7,000-square-foot retreat blends bold modern architecture with the surrounding landscape.

Designed by Tate Studio Architects, with interiors by Elissia Sigalow and Molly Enos of Stowed, the home features massive sliding glass doors, six bedrooms, and six-and-a-half bathrooms.
