Fortunately, I was not on the beach with a tour or walking my dog when this was found!

We could hear the explosion at our house and neighbors nearby said it was strong enough to rattle their house 😲.

KEY BRIDGE PROSECUTION DEVELOPMENT:
The chief engineer of the M/V Dali has admitted he failed to report a known safety hazard aboard the ship before the bridge collapse and will avoid prosecution if he complies with the terms of an agreement with federal authorities.

Federal prosecutors say Karthikeyan Deenadayalan knew the Dali and two sister ships were operating with an unsafe fuel supply pump that lacked a backup system, creating risks for power loss and safe navigation.

According to court documents, Deenadayalan also acknowledged discussions with company personnel about the issue and admitted he was directed to send a "convincing" email to avoid additional questions that could reveal the vessel's use of the pump.

The agreement is tied to the broader criminal case announced last month involving three defendants charged in connection with the Key Bridge disaster.
