Gary and Lisa's all vegan menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner options, are fresh, delicious and satisfying. We can't wait to try their meatball and pulled pork sandwiches. Baked goods as well. The House of the Seven Gables is welcoming Essex County residents to visit for free this April school vacation week with Essex County Days!

April 21-25, families and individuals living in Essex County can visit The Gables on us! Tickets should be purchased in person with a valid ID or recent utility bill with appropriate address within Essex County.

Please note: The House of the Seven Gables is open 10 A.M. – 4 P.M.

April 19 2025 is 250 years to the day when Col Pickering, in his office at the Registry of Deeds just next door to the Pickering House, was alerted by Captain Epes of Danvers that "the British troops had marched from Boston to Lexington and had attacked the militia". Epes was given the order by Pickering to march the Danvers militia to Lexington without delay. Colonel Timothy Pickering rushed from his office to the town square where he mustered all the men he could to march on Lexington. His actions in events that followed would change his life and influence all of ours to this day...
