🪬Was recently invited to speak on a panel regarding technology and the larger impact that data centers in Massachusetts are having.
Would love more invites for speaking opportunities and it’s always great to connect with like-minds.
All over the Commonwealth are messages regarding the severe impact that newer technologies are having.
A.I. debates, regulations, ethics and utility uses are polarizing.
It’s hard to ignore the need for it in businesses, and we’re getting to a point in our history where we can’t control the effects.
Celebrities pushing back on deep fakes, people pushing back from job loss, it affects us all.
My entire industry became obsolete overnight right under my feet, everything that I built, gone.
My speciality, evaporated.
I feel it just the same.
China just announced mosquito-sized drones capable of filming audio and video undetected.
Meanwhile, towns in Massachusetts face losing farms for the sake of building technological advances.
The days of being excited without consequences of new technologies seem to be history itself now.
I’ll never forget the original Super Nintendo, the Gameboy advance, the sidekick flip screen cells and the birth of social media.
We’ve seen it shape culture, people and communities.
Men used to dress sharply, now it’s t-shirts and podcasts.
Women used to raise families, now they’re working 40+ hours with babysitters just to cover rent.
It’s astonishing to see how quickly large corporations use it for businesses, but it’s also equally alarming to see how unregulated and complex it got.
We truly can’t comprehend the effects of A.I. or compare it to any other revolutionary time period in human civilization.
I always remember how incredibly difficult it truly is to build or create anything. Down to the simplest of things.
Pencils, pens, paper, very complicated and lengthy processes that are not appealing and sometimes considerably not worth doing anymore.
Interesting to see what happens.
People say the future looks scary, they’re not wrong.
I prefer to say it looks good, because even if I’m wrong, I’d rather be on the right side of optimistic for a chance at better.
