Today I needed a self-care day. It's the end of the school year. That is always a busy and tough time of year. I also just finished my second semester of doctoral school. I'm tired but since I have a little break I figured I would get a massage and facial. I got the Le Petite Package. I had an amazing experience. Talvin gave me an amazing massage and Jade took care of me with the facial. Please be aware if you book the express facial it doesnt come with everything so book the full one for that. As far the atmosphere was amazing. They greeted you with mimosas or infused water. They offer plush robes and sandals for you to enjoy. They even have a beautiful rooftop for you to enjoy wth views of the city. I highly recommend this spa. It is black-owned. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 Check out VLuxe Spa in Concord!

Here's my travel dump and 10 things to do while in Hilton Head Island...

1. Coligny Beach 👍🏾 Beautiful beach in a great location.

2. Beach House Resort- loved it! Beached Themed, very clean and spacious, parking is $10 per night. Great location oceanfront! 👍🏾

3. Tiki Hut- one of the restaurants at Beach House Resort. It is beach front. Food was 👎🏾 Atmosphere, Drinks, and Live Music 👍🏾

4. Front Porch- second restaurant at Beach House Resort. Food was👍🏾 my omelet was good. Restaurant is poolside but blocks the view of the beach.

5. Coligny Shoppes- Shopping Center across the street from the beach. It had restaurants, a place to book excursions, custard shop, a wine shop, sunglasses shop, etc.

6. Nectar- Brunch Spot, one of my favorite places there. The food had me swaying and smiling. 😂 Everything is Farm to Table from local farmers and you can tell! 10/10 Highly Recommend!👍🏾

7. Carolina Tasting Room- Wine shop, they have a large selection of homemade wines. They also have wine and moonshine slurpies. You can also do a tasting for 6 wines for $3. If you buy a bottle of wine they take the $3 off. Great service! The wine was great also! 10/10 Highly Recommend!👍🏾

8. Lighthouse Harbor is an actual private community on a golf course. The community allows the public in for $9 (cash only). There is a playground, ice cream shop, boutiques, tshirts shops, restaurants, a lighthouse, and museum.

9. Harborside Restaurant- It was about the only place that wasn't a seafood restaurant. It was outdoor seating, and you have to walk up to the window to order. They had hotdogs, hamburgers, Jamaican jerk food options, and salads. I enjoyed my food there. 9/10 👍🏾

10. One Hot Mama's- It was my absolute favorite. I went there twice. The food was amazing. The drinks were good. They had all the basketball games playing throughout the day. Friday night they have a DJ and Karaoke. You can tell the staff is one big family. They took good care of me while I was there and invited me back to see them. They knew all of their regulars by name. I give it 20/10. For food, atmosphere, and fun go to One Hot Mama's! 👍🏾Side

Note: I didn't do the Dolphin tour because I'm hoping to see some this week coming up. I hear it's really good. The other thing I wanted to do was the Hibachi Boat Cruise. That's on my list for next time. I hope you enjoy my reviews!

I went to an area called Harbour Town. It was a cute area in a private neighborhood. You have to pay $9 cash to get in. I walked around and checked out the sites, shops, and patronized a restaurant ran by some very friendly Jamaican guys. The restaurant was called Harborside. They worked quickly and the sandwich I got was seasoned perfectly. This area is very family friendly and has a big playground out front for kids. It's a great area for biking and just leisurely hanging out.

Before we went to Childress yesterday we stopped by a Soul Food spot in Lexington. It's called JJ's Mama's Soulfood! I highly recommend this restaurant. As you can see the prices are reasonable. The food was well seasoned and you get large portions of meat. The only complaint from everyone was the sides portions were a little small. I had the grilled pork chops (I eat them when I can find them), cabbage (out of this world, you will probably need 2 servings), mac and cheese ( very good), and I had two Angel Eggs (Christian Deviled Eggs😂😂). It was enough for two meals. My friends had fried chicken and smoked turkey legs and rice. They all agreed the food was good. After a while the owner came out and told us her story. She wanted to use her culinary training to make people happy and cook with love. She's been bullied and terrorized for having a black-owned business in that area. She said with the love she's put in her food she's been able to change some of their minds. They have come and eat in her restaurant. She had such a sweet spirit about her. I wish her all the best. If you are ever in Lexington stop by and check her out. Also, she's opening the first black owned dance studio over there as well. Go support if you can.

P.S. I hadn't eaten yesterday since about 10:00 am and it was 5:00 when I got food so I forgot to take a picture of my food. 😂😂😂

Need a quick getaway from NC? Here's 10 things to do in Greenville, SC. I went solo and did quite a few things on the list in the two days I was there. It's a place good for solo, couples, or families.

1. Falls Park on the Reedy- Waterfall at a park in the middle of downtown. (Family friendly and dog friendly).

2. Gather GVL- a shipping container food court with cool seat and great food and drinks.

3. Greenville Zoo- I'm from Asheboro, NC we have one of the best zoos in the world, this is not a strong comparion but it's a cool activity and outing for $14.

4. Frankie's Fun Park- it's of course family friendly but I went by myself and had a good time. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

5. Shopping- there were plenty of outdoor shopping malls all over the city.

6. Greenville Drive Baseball Game- Greenville Drive is a MiLB Boston Red Sox affiliate team.

7. Children's Theater- South Carolina Children's Theater is downtown across from the food court and baseball stadium. They perform shows like Sponge Bob, Mary Poppins, and Charlotte's Web.

8. Comedy Zone- Catch a comedy show with popular comedians for a decent price.

9. Group Therapy- Indoor Mini Golf and Pub/Bar. TV or Movie Themed holes.

10. Flying Rabbit Adventures- an aerial adventure park. (Ropes and Climbing Course)

Bonus: AC Hotel- Rooftop Drinks with atmosphere. There was plenty of affordable to fine dining options in the city also.
