We were proud to join the OBAP - Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals for their annual conference and Youth Day!

Piedmont team members spent time with aspiring aviators ages 13–18, leading a vision board activity to spark big dreams and bold ideas. From career goals to the future of aviation, we encouraged them to imagine what’s possible and reminded them that their voices and visions will help shape the skies ahead. 🛫

Here’s to inspiring the next generation of aviation leaders! 💙

Name + Position: Grace Wilson, Flight Operations Recruiter

Interest in Aviation ✈️: I got started at aviation a little bit later in life. I attended Delaware State University, where I did a discovery flight. It's a 141 school, went through flight training and then I came right over to Piedmont Airlines.

What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 What I love most is the community and the family aspect of Piedmont Airlines, and the legacy that we hold. We have been around for so long that I love being able to connect with people that have known Piedmont from day one.

How does attending OBAP help us connect with and support future aerospace professionals? Attending OBAP 2025 in beautiful Tacoma, WA gives us the opportunity to connect with individuals who are here to network and support the organization. It also reflects their interest in joining Piedmont Airlines as a whole.

Interest in Aviation ✈️: What got me into aviation were the free travel perks and the excitement of working around planes that can take you anywhere in the world. My brother started working for Piedmont before I did, and we used some of his travel benefits, I was hooked.


What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 I started working as a ramp agent in Charlotte, and I've been fortunate to grow within the company into the role I have now. The opportunities it's provided me like being here at Oshkosh have been incredible.

Interest in Aviation ✈️: I grew up in a family where my father was a pilot and my mother was a flight attendant, so I was surrounded by the airline industry from a young age. After spending 30 years in corporate America at BellSouth, I decided I wanted to have fun and became a flight attendant when I retired.

What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 Before working for Piedmont, I worked for larger carriers. But I chose Piedmont because it has a family feel.
