Meeting announcement:

Copia Power is a leading U.S. developer, owner, and operator of energy infrastructure—backed by global investment firm Carlyle— and is committed to advancing energy solutions across the country. Copia is hosting a community meeting on Thursday, November 20th from 5:00–6:30 PM at the Centennial Community Center Library (69725 Centennial Park Rd, Salome, AZ 85348).
In Arizona, Copia has invested over 5 billion dollars in Arizona alone and currently operates 450 MW of solar and battery storage projects, with an additional 1,050 MW under construction and expected to come online next year. The company is also in the early stages of developing the Stanley Energy Project, a proposed 500 MW solar and battery storage facility in southeastern La Paz County anticipated to be operational in 2031. Thoughtfully located along I-10 between Sore Finger Road and Avenue 71, the Stanley Energy Project sits near DCRT’s Cielo Azul Substation and Ten West Link, and directly adjacent to the Centennial Flats Solar Project—also owned by Copia and currently under construction. This proximity to existing infrastructure and neighboring energy developments reflects a deliberate approach to siting that prioritizes responsible land use and minimize environmental impact on the desert landscape. The Stanley Energy Project is currently seeking a minor comprehensive plan amendment and a conditional use permit, which will be reviewed by the La Paz County Planning and Zoning Commission in December.
Copia Power is actively building partnerships within the community and is committed to being a responsible and engaged neighbor.
