Seeing the land of Antarctica for the first time felt like I had been put into a dream & needed to concentrate on the sounds around me to make sure I stayed present. There are lots of regulations (all very appropriate) for such a wild, untamed place. It was just the start though, my mind couldn’t fathom what was about to happen over the next 7 days on our Antarctica21 Cruise. Trying to catch up - Selfie photo dump from Patagonia - still one of the most transformative trips I’ve taken. It showed me how much internal drive I have to get it done, that I know my limits and don’t ignore them anymore, that I can do hard and scary things alone & that someone always shows up right when you need it to keep your journey going. Sharing a little moment of peace from the trail in Patagonia. A little waterfall tucked away by the cabin I was staying in. The views of the lake were phenomenal- but getting to spend some time alone by the waterfall without people posing & hearing the birds was probably one of my favorite moments on the trail.

Hiking the W route in Patagonia Chile was SUCH a journey- especially after a short recovery time from getting PRP injections for an Achilles Tendonitis from completing an Olympic Triathlon. It’s a raw video about self doubts, physical limitations, courage, fortitude, conincidences and triumphs. You don’t want to miss this one. While hiking is very strenuous, it can also be enjoyable, and there are plenty of hikes for all body types, from easy to really hard. While I'm not going to go and hike King's Peak (at least right now) - I wanted to share a bit of my hiking journey here in Utah while I was preparing to hike the 46-mile hike in Patagonia.
