Seeing the land of Antarctica for the first time felt like I had been put into a dream & needed to concentrate on the sounds around me to make sure I stayed present. There are lots of regulations (all very appropriate) for such a wild, untamed place. It was just the start though, my mind couldn’t fathom what was about to happen over the next 7 days on our Antarctica21 Cruise. Make sure to check out the full video on YouTube @ CultureTrekking - you won’t want to miss this adventure, and if you are planning on going you’ll also find a packing list, where I stayed in Punta Arenas and other helpful tidbits. 🇨🇱☃️❄️🥶

If you are looking for a unique place to stay, that is both comfortable with delicious food and steeped in history then la Yuga Loca is the place to go!

Each room is dedicated to those who have shaped the area of Punta Arenas you can find rooms dedicated to wood workers, writers, gauchos, sheepherders, and so many more.

It is quite the hike to get up to the hotel, but it is well worth it, they do have an elevator that will bring your luggage up to the top. You just have to hike up the stairs and let them know. Each staff member is dressed in a traditional gaucho garb. Very friendly and you can keep your luggage at the hotel while you explore the rest of the city that is the gateway to both Patagonia and Antarctica.

Trying to catch up - Selfie photo dump from Patagonia - still one of the most transformative trips I’ve taken. It showed me how much internal drive I have to get it done, that I know my limits and don’t ignore them anymore, that I can do hard and scary things alone & that someone always shows up right when you need it to keep your journey going. If you haven’t seen my heartfelt long form video - head to my channel and check it out. All the best to you and your journey.

Sharing a little moment of peace from the trail in Patagonia. A little waterfall tucked away by the cabin I was staying in. The views of the lake were phenomenal- but getting to spend some time alone by the waterfall without people posing & hearing the birds was probably one of my favorite moments on the trail.

Hiking the W route in Patagonia Chile was SUCH a journey- especially after a short recovery time from getting PRP injections for an Achilles Tendonitis from completing an Olympic Triathlon. It’s a raw video about self doubts, physical limitations, courage, fortitude, conincidences and triumphs. You don’t want to miss this one. Full video on YouTube Big thanks to and for helping me get outfitted for this trip.
