Safaris don't need to be expensive; they CAN be quite affordable - IF you are willing to get outside your comfort zone. Sure, you might be a bit cramped in the car, but you also might meet some incredible people from around the globe. I met so many Europeans on this trip who wanted the experience but didn't want to pay the single supplement or break the bank. Be willing to stay outside the park, be willing to be flexible, be willing to share a space with new people, and be friendly - you will be amazed at the opportunities and new friendships you can foster doing this. Check out CultureTrekking.com for all the details, and check link in bio for Culture Trekking Tours (budget friendly group trips)

Come with me as we explore a 10th-century Cathedral, hear an Organ Mozart once played on, and explore the Alsace Museum where I learned about Storks and babies in cabbage fields and Rose bushes. Food markets are so fun to be able to try different spices, local flavors and see how they connect with each other (at least for a brief moment) - Have you been to a food market in another country? In your own town? Which one was your favorite?

Come explore the Strasbourg Christmas Market with me! This market has been growing for the last 400 years, has 300 stalls, and the 6th tallest cathedral in the world inside a UNESCO site that has been here since the 12th century BC!
DISCOVER VIANDEN CASTLE IN LUXEMBOURG! https://culturetrekking.com/vianden-castle-in-luxembourg Ties to the Roman roadways, Victor Hugo, the confessor to the Queen of Bohemia, the house of Nassau-Orange, and a beautifully rebuilt Gothic-Romanesque castle that allows your imagination to really run wild imaging what it must have felt like to live here during that time. I think Vianden Castle is well worth the visit, but there are a few tricks to getting there & other things I recommend visiting while in the area. I'll guide you through how to visit Vianden Castle step by step so even the most directionally challenged (like me, and also riddled with travel nerves) can get there without a hitch.
Visit Vianden Castle, a beautifully rebuilt Gothic-Romanesque castle in Luxembourg countryside, with a complex history, that is well worth the visit.

Helsinki Christmas Market was a classic! So many wooden mugs, gnomes, and the first time I got frost bite on my thighs from wearing the WRONG THING. See how the Finnish do Christmas!
The Helsinki Christmas Market wasn't on my radar when I was taking a trip through Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia -- bottom line, it should have been. This Ch...

Estonia was one of those dream trips for me, where I was eating in a Medieval Tavern eating recipes that were concocted from the 15th century cookbook by candlelight with friends. To top it off I was there for my Birthday and couldn't have been more excited to be there, exploring Christmas Markets and UNESCO sites throughout Lithuania & Latvia.
This month and next month I'm going to share those videos, new Christmas market videos, and any tips/tricks for saving money this season, along with any deals that brands send through my inbox & sift through them for you so you don't have to waste that time. HERE IS TO ANOTHER YEAR OF ADVENTURES CULTURE TREKKERS! Hope you are all doing well! Let me know in the comments below.

Learned about the local remedies for hangovers, wrinkles, stomach aches and even how to enhance the “boongah-boongah jiggy-jiggy” - along with how they grow spices, a jungle song and dance, and a coconut man show, lol. Ya don’t wanna miss this one!

Hi my name is Janiel, I have over 23 years of International Travel experience - with a Father that was a Travel Agent, you could say I was born for this. I created the Culture Trekking Community as a way for those who love culture, connection, art, and unique adventure to interact - share ideas - and maybe even travel together. I truly feel we are the sum of everyone that we meet in our lives. We take the best parts of them, and implement them into ourselves. I sincerely want to welcome you to the Culture Trekking Community and hope you lend your voice to help us grow together and create avenues where we can each have amazing adventures.
If you haven’t already, join us on https://instagram.com/culturetrekking) - and get real time instastories, be featured in the C.T.C (culture trekking community) highlight, get your destination inspiration from the visuals I create and curate specifically for you.
Get to know me personally through my YouTube Channel as well (youtube.com/c/culturetrekking) - This is where I conduct many of the interviews with locals from around the world. Where I share the ‘real’ experience and you can deduce all my feelings - both said and unsaid - about the destination or tour.
Just as we each grown in life, I feel that my commitment to creating this community has changed drastically. At first I was caught up in the ‘story of me’, now everything I do is zeroed in on how to give you the BEST information possible. I spend hours researching destinations, tours, locations, and in depth - behind the scenes information that goes beyond the crowds and highly touristic spots. For these detailed guides, visit https://CultureTrekking.com and pick your vacation de jour - I haven’t been everywhere, but it is on my list.
So thank you for trusting me, with the most valuable thing in your life....your time. I hope you find value in the resources I provide on transportation, travel hacks, solo travel, culture, art, unique adventures, and responsible tourism. To all you travelers...I salute you and am genuinely glad your here.
