It’s time for a countdown to New Years 2020. 🎉 In no particular order here are our favorite Getaway Vanz trips. #10. June 1-May 18 2019 our guests from Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱 set out for their first Yellowstone Adventure.

I never know what to expect from our guests because their are so many different ways to spend your time when you have the luxury of a home on wheels.

Arjan and his wife blew me away with what they captured. I don’t think they even had much of a plan but as photographers their goal was to capture wildlife and epic scenery. And let’s just say they didn’t get skunked. They did however get about every other animal Yellowstone had to offer and many I didn’t even know they had!

My favorite part about renting the getaway van is all the people I meet. Van life travelers are the nicest and coolest people in the world and these two were no exception. I now have two lifelong friends in Amsterdam and I can’t wait to visit them on their home turf!

I learned a lot from them on how to simplify for life on the road. They managed to only use 1 towel and washcloth for the whole trip and left me a clothesline they built for the van.

Fun fact: they just send me a picture of their new dog and they even named it after me! (Shiloh) It was such an honor to know that I kept the reputation of my name intact. (Let the jokes roll in) 😂

The trip didn’t end when they arrived to dropped off the van. We have enough time to wash the van together which was very memorable because it was SUPER MUDDY!We also had a quick meetup and they share details of their trip before they caught their flight the next day.

As you can tell I’ve had as much fun renting The Getaway Van as I have using it myself. It’s a fantastic way to feel immersed in Van Life and meet new people from around the world even when I can’t make it on the road.
