You know how sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) travel does not go to plan?? Well, see what happened when we rented a scooter in Marseille France and tried to make it up to the nearby Calanques National Park. It's a hilarious look at a very frustrating travel day!
We did enjoy wandering the old town (not so much the stairs though, lol), checking out all the creative street art and tasting Pastis Janot, whose range is unique thanks to its original recipe from 1928. Its secret lies in patience: the anise and licorice steep for as long as possible. What would you think of this local drink?
We narrowly escaped walking quite a long way back to the cruise ship in a torrential rainstorm; thankfully our Uber driver found us in the nick of time! What a crazy day...we were more than ready to relax that evening and utilize our drink passes, lol!
