STILL 6 SPACES LEFT TO ENTER the 3rd Annual Saltsburg Farmers Market SOUP COOK OFF (no chili) is Thursday, September 24th. You DO NOT have to live in Saltsburg to enter! 3 winners...$120 in prize money!! 💰💰

Does everyone tell you that you make an award winning soup?? Then this is the contest for you!
🥣 You will be asked to bring a crock pot of your best tasting soup for the public to sample and judge!
🏆 1st, 2nd and (just added) 3rd place Winners will receive a cash prize ($50, $40, $30) and ultimate bragging rights until next year! Who will be the winners this year?? Last year 1st place was a Sausage, Chicken & Gnocchi soup by Sylvia Bedick and 2nd place was a Chicken Dumpling soup by Katelynn Diana.

-- Contest is FREE l to enter so just grab your ingredients and bring your finished soup to the Farmers Market by 4:00 (or earlier if needed and I can keep it warm) this Thursday, Sept 24th.

LOOKING FOR ENTRIES for the 3rd Annual Saltsburg Farmers Market SOUP COOK OFF (no chili) is Thursday, September 24th.
🛑There is a LIMIT of 10 contestants.

Does everyone tell you that you make an award winning soup?? Then this is the contest for you!

PLEASE SHARE!! Historic Saltsburg Car Cruise 2026 Is THIS FRIDAY, Sept 18th!! Here are some details about the evening whether you are a car cruise participant or spectator.
🔥 Cruise time is 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. in and around the Canal Park. Trophies will be given out at approximately 7: 30 p.m. REGISTRATION STARTS AT 3:30 and goes until 6pm (PLEASE REFRAIN FROM COMING BEFORE 3:30 as our help will not be there until then)
🔥 Cost per car is $10. If you are parked inside the cruise area you will be asked to participate. ALL money raised goes right back into the community through various events
🔥 Come hungry because the Saltsburg United Methodist Church will be serving up hot dogs and hamburgers on a charcoal grill, hot sausage sandwiches and haluski. The Friends of the Mill will have Philly Cheese steaks and popcorn. And Mae's Ray of Sunshine will have a baked sale with all money going toward their mission (check out their page)
🔥 Jill Mountain from PA State Rep. Jim Struzzi office will be on hand to assist anyone in need of a new license plate and info on unclaimed property in PA
🔥 There will be live music by Julie Dunmire of Oldies Tribute artists Julie. Bring a chair and enjoy the music!

FALL CLEANUP DAYS ARE FAST APPROACHING for residents in Saltsburg Borough only.
This is the time to get your property cleaned up to keep the town looking great (and avoid those pesky ordinance violation letters) and get rid of all those items you no longer want!!

Did you know there are 2 fun events going on today (Saturday, Sept 12th)? Rain or Shine, come check them out!! I promise you won't melt 😁
1. Saltsburg Oktoberfest 2026 is from Noon--9pm on the Canal Park (this year there is a free shuttle from 11:30am to 10pm -- same route as Canal Days and America 250 event this year -- check event page for parking areas).
2. The 10th Annual Cable Truck Show is happening from 10am-6pm at CTI & Coordinators (2876 Rt. 286).

🚍 Don't stress over finding parking for Saltsburg Oktoberfest 2026 this year
There will be a FREE shuttle running continuously from 11:30am -- 10pm
There are stops at the following locations:
🚍River Valley Academies lot (Saltsburg Campus)
🚍Corner of Cathedral and Washington Streets (in front of St. Matthew Catholic Church)
🚍Salt Center/Saltsburg Library parking lot (on Walnut Street)
🚍Saltsburg Playground (at the bottom of High Street and the end of Canal Street)
🚍Corner of Salt Street and Point Street (by Shop n Save)
And then back to the River Valley Academies lots
