Mass shooting thwarted on the 4th of July at Yellowstone. Good job National Park Rangers! 👏

"Thanks to the heroic actions of our law enforcement rangers, many lives were saved here last Thursday," said Cam Sholly, superintendent of Yellowstone National Park. "These rangers immediately confronted this shooter and took decisive action to ensure he was no longer a threat to public safety."

Special Agents with the NPS Investigative Services Branch and Victim Specialists from the BIA Victim Assistance Program were among those who responded to Yellowstone National Park on July 4 for a law enforcement involved shooting incident, and are part of the ongoing investigation and community support efforts.

"We are working now to provide maximum support to those involved and their families," continued Sholly. "We appreciate the support of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Park Service, Department of the Interior, and many other partners as we continue to manage through the aftermath of this incident."

Intoxication Assault on Golf Cart Results in Arrest

San Angelo, Texas - On the evening of June 29, 2024, at approximately 6:16 PM, officers from the San Angelo Police Department responded to an unconscious person in the 5500 block of Enclave Court.

Upon arrival, officers found that a golf cart operated by Emilee Krieger (28) caused a serious accident resulting in injuries to the passenger, Dustin Patino (41). Preliminary investigations suggest that Krieger was operating the golf cart under the influence of alcohol.

San Angelo Fire Department personnel responded quickly and transported Patino to Shannon Medical Center, where, despite all efforts, Patino later succumbed to his injuries on 07/02/2024.

Krieger later consented to a breathalyzer test confirming a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit. Krieger was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault.

The San Angelo Police Department emphasizes the dangers of operating any vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We urge all citizens to exercise caution and make responsible decisions to prevent such incidents.

The San Angelo Police Department would like to remind all citizens that starting today 07/03/2024-07/08/2024 a no refusal period is in effect for the 4th of July weekend for increased enforcement regarding DWI’s.

Ho**er has shuttered its door of their restaurant here in town. Texomahomepage.com reached to the chain's corporate offices and found out Ho**ers may be suffering the same fate as other chains that have been hit hard by rising food and labor costs.

The website was told "like many restaurants under pressure from current market conditions, Ho**ers has made the difficult decision to close a select number of underperforming stores."
