On Thursday, Dec 11, 7 p.m. WC's outstanding choir(s) will perform... The 200 member choirs are the reigning State Champs (male, female & mixed) - TWO YEARS IN A ROW!!! (It's never happened before!)... Last year's show was incredible. At the concert, they will be honoring Ms. Jennifer Whatley, former choir director at WC and current voice teacher. She will be retiring from teaching voice at WC at the end of this school year. The concert is FREE! Come out and enjoy!!!

Exciting news! Our diverse committee has been planning and choosing to have our 50th WC76 be the best!
The class of 1975 had an amazing 50th reunion at Aggie Park - see photo in the comments. They had a huge turnout, fun, and successful in a perfect venue - Aggie Park.
So save the date for ours - May 30, 2026 - Aggie Park.
If you buy your tickets now through Dec 31, 2025 they will be cheaper - how about $65 per person! More expensive starting Jan 1.

When Todd Bloomer stepped down as principal of WC last year, the students gave him an amazing tribute: they literally lined the halls as he made his way through the now 9 building campus to thunderous applause. He is a rare breed and WC - and NEISD - were blessed to have him! Please consider purchasing this book and contributing to the WC pantry at the same time!

Todd Bloomer recently retired as principal of WC. In August 2024, he released a book titled “The Blueprint: Survive and Thrive as a School Administrator.” The book is a leadership journey, filled with stories and insights as to what it was like to lead the flagship school of South Texas. (Make no mistake; when NEISD assesses programs, they talk about WC! And when conferences are held around this State and beyond, administrators, coaches and teachers know Churchill!!!)
