Honoring my mother, **Maria Mildred Maldonado** — a woman gifted with a heart for nurturing, serving, and loving without limits.
Mom raised five boys and one little girl who stole her heart. As the youngest son, I always felt that special pull toward her warmth and her prayers. Every night, she would kneel beside my bed and talk to God — her faith was steady, sincere, and the foundation of our home.
Her ministry was the kitchen.
Her joy was serving others.
Her gift was hospitality.
No one ever left our home without a full plate, a warm hug, and the feeling of being loved.
In her later years, when she moved from Rochester to San Antonio, we grew closer than ever — sharing car rides, day trips, family vacations, worship music, and long conversations I still treasure.
Mom went home to be with the Lord in 2019, but her legacy lives in the way I serve, love, and welcome others today.
*“Her children rise up and call her blessed.”* — Proverbs 31
Happy post Mother’s Day in heaven, Mom.
You are loved. You are remembered. You are celebrated.
