A lot of people asked us the same question after last weekend's Zona Cultural Public Art Walk:

"When's the next one?"

As part of the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture's celebration of 30 years of public art, we had the opportunity to introduce more than 100 people to the artists, stories, murals, sculptures, and public spaces that help make San Antonio unique.

Along the route, we highlighted works by:

๐ŸŽจ Christopher Montoya
๐ŸŽจ Ashleigh Garza
๐ŸŽจ Diana Kersey
๐ŸŽจ Rhys Munro (RHY$)
๐ŸŽจ Mike "Comp" Arguello

One of the biggest takeaways from the day was seeing how many people wanted to continue exploring public art in San Antonio.

So we're excited to share that we're now offering a similar experience through our Downtown Public Art Walk, beginning at Sojourn Trading Co. and exploring murals, public art, local history, and the stories that shape downtown San Antonio.

If you missed the Zona Cultural walk or simply want to keep exploring, we'd love to have you join us.

For more information, visit Mural Ride Bike Tours and look for our Downtown Public Art Walk.

Thank you again to the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, all of the participating artists, and Sunday Theory Creative for helping bring this event to life.

"Art is truly for all."

Those words from Krystal Jones, Director of the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, capture exactly what last weekend's Zona Cultural Public Art Walk was all about.

As part of the 30th anniversary of San Antonio's Public Art Program, community members gathered to explore public art, visit city-owned galleries, and hear directly from the local artists helping shape the cultural landscape of our city.

Public art has a unique ability to meet people where they are. It lives in our neighborhoods, parks, streets, and public spaces. It sparks conversation, creates connection, and ensures that art isn't limited to a gallery wall, but becomes part of everyday life.

The Department of Arts & Culture continues to champion local artists while working to make arts and culture accessible in every corner of San Antonio.

A special thank you to the artists who shared their stories and artwork during the walk:

๐ŸŽจ Christopher Montoya
๐ŸŽจ Ashleigh Garza
๐ŸŽจ Diana Kersey
๐ŸŽจ Rhys Munro (RHY$)
๐ŸŽจ Mike "Comp" Arguello

Thank you as well to Krystal Jones and the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture for their leadership and support, and to Sunday Theory Creative for capturing the spirit of the day.

This is Reel 2 of our 3-part Zona Cultural series celebrating 30 years of public art in San Antonio.

More than 100 people gathered in Zona Cultural this past weekend to celebrate something that makes San Antonio special: public art.

Artists, residents, visitors, city staff, and community members spent the morning walking the district, hearing directly from the artists behind the murals and installations, and discovering the stories woven throughout the neighborhood.

This event was created in partnership with the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture as part of the celebration of 30 years of public art in San Antonio.

This is just the first chapter of a three-part recap series. Over the next few weeks, we'll share more artist stories, community moments, and behind-the-scenes perspectives from an unforgettable morning.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the artists, and helped bring the experience to life.

107 people.
6 artists.
30 years of public art.
One very special Saturday in the Zona Cultural ๐ŸŽจ

This past weekend, we partnered with the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture ( )to help bring people together through murals, storytelling, sculpture, conversation, tacos, coffee, and community.

What made this experience special wasnโ€™t just the artwork. It was getting to hear directly from the artists themselves and watching strangers turn into conversations all across downtown San Antonio.

Huge thank you to every artist, guide, attendee, volunteer, creative partner, and supporter who showed up and helped make this happen.

This city deserves experiences like this โค๏ธ

Weโ€™ll be sharing more photos, videos, behind-the-scenes moments, artist highlights, and community recaps from the event throughout the week.

Until thenโ€ฆ keep supporting local art and the people creating it.

San Antonio ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ€๐ŸŽจ

I recently had someone reach out looking for potential wall locations across San Antonio for a future mural honoring a Spurs legend.

At this stage, weโ€™re simply trying to help make connections.

Weโ€™d love to identify a few businesses, property owners, schools, gyms, or community spaces that might be open to exploring a mural conversation.

If you know a wall or a space that could be a fit, tag them below or send a DM with:
๐Ÿ“ Location
๐Ÿ“ธ Photo of the wall (if possible)
๐Ÿ‘ค Contact info

Nothing is finalized โ€” weโ€™re just trying to help open doors and see what opportunities might exist around the city.
