A fun morning at the islands celebrating the twins birthday! Water was a bit off-color and cooler after the wind event so it was all bottom fish. Fortunately the action has been strong and the creatures down deep are less effected by what’s happening above. Good times nonetheless and lots of fish tacos for our group from Arizona.

A fun half day out at the islands this morning. The yellowtail weren’t cooperating but the bottom fishing was on fire. It was catch and release for our group but the crew kept a couple for dinner and a snack. It’s always music to our ears when someone new to fishing says that they “really really like fishing” We like fishing too:)

A couple nice lings and a bunch of reds. It was the first fish for many of our passengers today. It doesn’t matter your experience level. Whether you are an adult or a kid that has never caught a fish we love to teach people our style of fishing. If you are an experienced angler and want to show us your style of fishing we are open ears. Always happy to put people on the fish and make some memories. Cheers to good times.

The islands reminded us how much we like fishing there. Great variety of good eating fish is usually on tap and today did not disappoint. Some great sardines from that the lingcod and sculpin couldn’t resist.

Started the California rockfish season off right! Didn’t quite make it to the big bank but rather stopped on some stones closer to home for boat limits of reds. Beautiful morning on the water. Some wind and swell made for a fast drift making 400’ of line run horizontal and push to 500’ pretty quickly but the boys stayed with it and slowly but surely filled up the kill bag with taco meat.
