Solo traveler? We've got you covered. ✈️🌍

One of the biggest reasons women are reluctant to travel is simple: they don't have someone to go with.

But here's what we've discovered: you don't need a travel partner.

You just need to be willing to show up.
Many of our travelers join us on their own. In fact, on every trip, a number of women sign up and arrive not knowing a single person!

They come because they want to explore the world, but also because they appreciate knowing the details are taken care of, the group is small, and they'll be traveling alongside other women who are curious, adventurous, and ready to connect. There’s safety and comfort in that.

And somewhere along the way, something pretty special happens.

Strangers become travel companions. Travel companions become friends.

You share a meal. Laugh. Learn something new together. Sit around the table at the end of a long day and realize you've only just met, but somehow it already feels like you've known each other longer.

That's one of my favorite things about travel.
So if you've been waiting for someone else to be available, interested, or ready to go…

Maybe don't wait. Come with us. 💛

Before we add an experience to an itinerary, we ask one question:

Who benefits?

Does this experience create meaningful income for local people?

Are local people shaping the experience?

Are we supporting locally owned businesses?

Are we learning from the community—or simply consuming an experience?

Does it respect the dignity, culture and stories of the people we're visiting?

These questions don't always have simple answers. But we believe they're important questions to ask.

Because a good travel experience isn't just about what the traveler gets.

It's also about how our visits might bring value to the places we visit.

That's one of the ways we think about purposeful travel.

Travel Can Be More Than a Vacation

What if your vacation could help build a stronger community?

One of the biggest lessons I've learned over the past several years is that while charity is important, lasting change happens when people have opportunities.

When local entrepreneurs can start businesses…
When families can earn sustainable incomes…
When communities have ownership over their own future…

Hope grows.

It’s one of the reasons I'm so passionate about purposeful travel.

When we choose locally owned accommodations, eat at family-run restaurants, hire local guides, and support community-led initiatives, our travel dollars become an investment in people—not just places.

Travel doesn't have to be about checking destinations off a bucket list.

It can become a way to strengthen communities, celebrate culture, and create opportunity.

That's the kind of travel I want to be part of. ❤️
What do you think? Can tourism be a force for good?

“Thank you so much for an incredible trip. We are forever grateful for every detail. What a blessing to not have to worry about a thing!” — Rachel

Six friends from across the U.S. recently completed the Camino de Santiago on one of our private, self-guided pilgrim journeys. From the moment they arrived in Porto until they reached Santiago de Compostela, every detail was thoughtfully arranged — from ground transportation and comfortable accommodations to luggage transfers, a cathedral tour, and even a visit to a family-owned winery.

Before departure, they also received a detailed travel packet with training tips, packing guidance, gear suggestions, and recommended restaurants along the route.

We love bringing pilgrimages like this to life — because we know how meaningful it is to gather your people and share a truly transformational experience.

Visiting the Amazon is an invitation to pause—breathing in curiosity and exhaling wonder at the magnificence of the Creator. For three days, we immersed ourselves in the abundance of life: animals, plants, and fruits bursting with color and variety. We marveled at the intricate design of creatures—their habits, life cycles, diets, and unique systems of defense—each a reminder of creativity and care.

We discovered the hidden wisdom of the forest, where plants, seeds, and fungi carry healing properties that address everything from everyday ailments to serious illnesses.

By night, we ventured out to experience the jungle under a canopy of stars; by day, we swam, fished for piranha, and walked trails that seemed to breathe beneath our feet.

We also met the people who protect this special place, weaving together conservation and community, ensuring that both wildlife and human life can flourish side by side. We learned how regenerative tourism truly makes a difference—helping local communities gain what they need to thrive.

The Amazon was more than we imagined—overflowing with beauty, wonder, and the unmistakable fingerprints of the Creator.

Lima!

You’ve dazzled us with your rich history, culinary wonders, resilience, and soul.
Over the past couple of days, our group wandered through the bohemian streets of Barranco, savoring ceviche and pisco sours, pausing to marvel at playful murals and bold street art.

We watched surfers dance with the chilly Pacific waves, whispered wishes across the Bridge of Sighs, and uncovered the layered stories of Peru’s powerful capital. Every corner seemed to offer another treasure, another moment to hold.

And somewhere between the learning, the tasting, the laughter, and the sipping, something beautiful has begun: strangers becoming companions, travelers settling in for the journey before us. And we’ve just begun. We have 12 more days ahead to savor.

Peru, we’re ready. What wonder awaits us next?

✈️ If you'd like to join us in Peru next year, send us a message and we'll get you on the interest list.

If we only see the world through the lens of our own culture, upbringing, or worldview—our perspective will always be incomplete. 🌍 💕

That’s why we travel. To see and learn.
To listen and ask questions.
To celebrate strength and dignity.
To better understand that all people are created in the image of God and have value.

We travel to notice the humanity that connects us all—across languages, customs, and borders.

Travel isn’t just about places. It’s about people. It’s about growth. It’s about letting your heart stretch wide enough to hold both the beauty and the brokenness of the world.

Ready to see with new eyes? Let’s go. 💛

📷: This was such a special visit with our do-good partner in Bangalore, India. We spent the afternoon with an NGO that is providing training for women entrepreneurs to become self-employed rickshaw drivers! My favorite part was sitting in conversation and listening to them share their hopes for the future and especially their daughters. They yearn for a more equitable world where their daughters won’t face the injustices they have. We were so inspired by their perseverance.

One of my absolute favorite photos from our recent women's trip to Morocco... 🇲🇦

This is beautiful Kay, a solo traveler with a kind heart. This wasn't her first trip with us. It's been a joy to get to know her as we've journeyed together and shared meaningful moments and heartfelt conversations. ✨️

Here's what Kay had to say about her experience:

"The trip to Morroco was my second trip with Travel on Purpose, the first being to Guatemala last year. I would not have gone to either place if not with TOP. Experiencing real people helping others to rise above their poverty and struggles in their given country and helping them in their journey gives me more than I could have imagined. I laughed until I cried, shed tears of reflection and joy with fellow travelers who were strangers only a few days ago. Dianne puts together impactful and beautiful journeys for those who travel with her."
