The weather’s been kind of gloomy lately, so we headed to in for some delicious Toriudon. The udon definitely did the trick, but make sure to couple it with some of their yakitori. The vibes and service are always on point, and best thing is they are open late! @ Yokohama Yakitori Koubou

We’d been meaning to go to for a while now. It was time, and the perfect excuse to take refuge from the rain . The ambiance had a unique and inviting Latin-american flair. We ordered some of the offerings they had on tap, and coupled it with some tapas-style plates. We highly recommend the roasted pork tenderloin, perfectly cooked and topped with some delicious slaw. Their tempura shrimp with dashi broth is solid as well. Would we recommend? You betcha! @ Fools and Kings

When the chef at your favorite sushi spot recommends his favorite place, I guess you better listen. We’re glad we did and finally made it to TAISHO, a small 8-seater yakitori specialist place in an unassuming strip mall on . Every single skewer was expertly grilled by the chef-owner, while we sipped our drinks and enjoyed the cooljazz playing in the background. We recommend the chicken wings and heart, and beef with wasabi. For those of you that are vegetable-forward, the grilled sh*take with bonito flakes packs some serious flavor. We also hear their brussel sprouts are solid! Definitely pair it with some sake or beer, as they make it clear this is an eat-while-you-drink kind of establishment. Can’t wait to go back! @ Yakitori Taisho
