Brenna reached out to me this spring to help her plan an Ireland road trip to celebrate her step triplets’ high school graduation.

I had them fill out an interest sheet and then I planned an 8 day loop starting and ending in Dublin. They visited Cork, Killarney, and Galway in addition to Dublin.

If you’re someone who wants a trip tailored to your interests and don’t want to go on a group trip with strangers, I fill that gap. I’ll plan your day-to-day activities and give meal recommendations. If you want your flights and accommodations booked I will do that too.

Brenna had this to say about their trip: “Ireland was so beautiful; we were lucky to experience it via bike, boat, horse, and more! Our family really enjoyed seeing the castles, both in ruins and restored.”

Do you want to take your family on an epic adventure, but don’t want to research and plan it? Reach out and I’ll create an itinerary you’ll never forget.

Disney Parks I need your attention please. Maybe Dr Pepper can help me out too. Coca-Cola feel free to add yourself to the discussion as well.

I don’t know anything about supply chain or business agreements, but this seems easy to fix. IDK. I’m humbly asking, nay begging, for this change in both Disneyland and Disney World 🙏🏻

Disneyland opened up all booking availability for 2027 yesterday! This means agents and regular people alike can book Disneyland theme park ticket and hotel packages for next year.

So why should you consider using an agent (like me) instead of booking on your own? Every agent operates their own way, so the things I’m about to outline are not necessarily true for every agent.

First, I’ll be honest with you, agents don’t get to offer special pricing—the price is the same whether you’re booking on the agent portal or on their website. That doesn’t mean an agent doesn’t have value. Here are ways I can save you money and time:

1. I keep tabs on general Disney pricing. If you book tomorrow and in 6 months Disney drops a deal that applies to your trip, I can help you rebook for the lower rate if possible. Chances are you wouldn’t necessarily know that if you don’t follow Disney deals and pricing.

2. I’ll help you remember to book your dining reservations. If you feel comfortable giving me your password I’ll even wake up between 3:00 and 6:00 am and book your reservations for you.

3. I can book you on property hotels as well as good neighbor ones that are close by, but more economical.

4. I can add a rental car or transportation option to your Disney package allowing for it to be bundled into one price and the total payment plan.

In the end working with an agent can provide them with a commission (at no additional cost to you) and can help save you time and possibly money.

Booking a Disney trip only requires a $200 deposit. I can help you create a payment plan at time of booking and make payments on your behalf with a payment authorization.

While in Pinetop earlier this summer we tried out a new to us ice cream shop. My husband grew up in Pinetop so we go up a few times a year. It was fun getting ice cream and finding a cute indoor place for our kids to spend some time.

If you’re in the area I recommend checking it out! Especially if you have young kids to entertain.

We spent 6.5 hours in the parks my last day solo with the kids. We had a great time riding our favorites before heading home.

We didn’t get on every single ride we could have and we didn’t watch a single show or do any character meet and greets this day. There is definitely enough to do with young kids alone in Disneyland if you find yourself in that situation. That being said, if we didn’t have annual passes or if this was our once in a lifetime trip, I wouldn’t go without a second adult. Anyone over 40 inches will miss out on those rides and even some of the no height requirement classics aren’t possible without a second adult or one kid being 7 or older (and even if my oldest was 7 he would have been sad to ride a lot of things alone).

If you want a breakdown of every ride in both parks with their height requirements and how many people can ride together, comment ride guide and I’ll send you my handy, but not very cute Google sheet.

One of the things my husband chose to do alone this year was D23. I decided to tag along and take the kids to Disneyland since we still have a few months left on our annual passes and it sounded more fun to solo parent in Disneyland than at home all weekend!

Disney’s policy doesn’t allow kids under 7 to ride a ride alone. All 3 of my kids are under 7 so I knew we could only do things that all 4 of us could do together. While there are many rides that have no height requirement, not all of them can accommodate 4 people in the same row or vehicle.

I let the kids take the lead on our first day without my husband so we didn’t always make the “smartest” decisions, but they picked what we did and loved the day.

Not mentioned in this video are the multiple bathroom breaks, churro stops, and meals we did eat. We were in the parks for 5.5 hours and then spent about 5 hours at the hotel napping and swimming before my husband joined us for a late dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen and then the bedtime routine.

Day 2 of “what can you do with 3 kids under 7” coming next! We got quite a few more rides done on day 2. I’ll include a full list on that post of rides you can ride alone with 3 kids.

A lot of people hate vacation rental homes in general, but sometimes they’re the best option for the location you are. We took a trip recently to a smaller town where the hotel options were minimal and further from where we actually wanted to be.

I have no problem stripping linens, starting a load of towels, washing my dishes, and throwing away my food before I checkout. Even when staying at a hotel I like to tidy up before I leave so whoever is cleaning doesn’t have to do a lot of heavy duty cleaning.

This particular stay I even stain treated and hand washed the sheets on my daughter’s bed before popping them into the washer as we were leaving because she got a bloody nose and I wanted to make sure the sheets weren’t stained.

But I think it’s pretty tone deaf to ask guests to leave your home better than they found it when they’ve paid a pretty hefty cleaning fee 🙃. If I’m leaving your home better than I found it it likely means it wasn’t clean enough when I arrived.

What are your thoughts on vacation rental homes?

And, if you’re looking to rent a house on a trip, let me know. I can book VRBOs for clients at a similar or cheaper rate than listed online.

When I’m traveling without my kids, and therefore without a stroller, I am continually dehydrated because I refuse to lug around a water bottle on my person. Chocolate covered caramels on the other hand…
