Teacher: “Grownups! Grab a strap let’s bounce up and down”
Kids: *immediately grab all the straps*

Over the semester, this class went from toddlers mostly jumping around under the parachute to wanting to hold it and do the grownup’s job! 💃 They watched, they learned, and now they’re executing. Confidence ⬆️

Grandparents bringing their grand babies to class hits different 🥹. Caretakers at our classes come in all different roles: parents, nannies, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc.

The point is to have the adult lead by example so a child feels confident and safe enough to engage in making music & being silly. 🤪

Rhythm sticks are one of the instruments we use in our classes that enhance a variety of skills:

🥁 fine and gross motor skills
🥁 hand-eye & bilateral coordination
🥁 internalizing rhythm and beat (helps with math!)
🥁 training listening and echoing
🥁 impulse control (helping kids with physical restraint and patience)
🥁 spatial awareness
