Beyond Ordinary Guides started after five years of traveling, collecting and brainstorming with a desire to provide a more comprehensive representation of a place. We asked ourselves, "How can you know where you want to go if you can't get a feel for the people and experiences there?" Going one step further than the traditional guide book, we provide you with curated guides, stories and photographs to inspire your next adventure.

do you know one thing we really miss about hotels? walking into a clean, fresh room without having to lift one of our own fingers to get it that way. really wishing the magic cleaning fairies would come vacuum, dust, and straighten up my mess so I could enjoy being in my own space more.

No matter where we were - in an Uber, at our hotel, eating at a restaurant - anytime we struck up a conversation with a local in Porto, pride for their city came through. It reminded us about how we feel about our soul city, San Francisco, and made us like Porto all the more. Hope you are privileged to love where you live right now.
