✨Heading to the USA soon? 🇺🇸 A sudden wave of last-minute ESTA revocations is catching holidaymakers completely off guard.

The US government has ramped up continuous background checks, turning previously “Approved” travel authorisations into “Travel Not Authorised” with zero warning. Do not rely on an old printout from months ago!

Save this post for what you need to do immediately:

* 💻 Manually Check Status: Log directly onto the official government ESTA website to verify you are still cleared to fly.

* 📸 The Selfie Rule: New applications require a traveller selfie. Older active ESTAs without this are facing unexpected validation checks.

* 🛑 Know the Risks: If your status flips to “Not Authorised,” airlines will legally deny you boarding at the gate.

* 🏛️ The Only Fix: If revoked, you cannot just reapply online. Your only option is to book an emergency tourist visa interview at the US Embassy.

Have you checked that your EHIC or GHIC card is valid? It only takes a few minutes to apply through the official NHS website, it’s free, and it can help you access state healthcare if you need medical treatment while travelling in Europe.

Hopefully you’ll never need it - but it’s always better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! 😊

Don’t forget, it’s also important to have comprehensive travel insurance for extra peace of mind.✨

✨Wow! This is a trip and a half booked for an extended family adventure next year. My clients had an idea of places they wanted to visit and so we put together a bespoke itinerary for them; visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with trips to Mount Fuji, Hiroshima, seeing sumo wrestling and taking part in a samurai experience along the way, as well as riding bullet trains between their destinations too 🥵 What a fabulous family holiday they have to look forward to!✨
