Wish you could smell this. 🌿

Just finished a tour in Sardinia with a lovely group and it confirmed how magical the island is in the spring—and how incredibly in smells!

We begin here, in Cagliari, with a guided tour of the city that begins to explain the ancient and complex island of Sardinia.

Throughout the 8-day trip, we explore pecorino cheese, prehistoric monoliths, the music of shepherds, traditional dress, pagan rites, salt production, tombs of Giants, a stunning coast, culinary masterpieces and, of course, the incredible wines of Sardinia (Cannonau di Sardegna, Carignano del Sulcis, Vermentino di Gallura, Mandrolisai, and Barbagia Rosso to name a few).

It’s a great trip.

There are spots on my 2027 Sardinia Wine + Culture Tour if you would like to join me next year!

My first Italy tour this year will be in Sardinia. And do you know what Sardinia has? Cheese. 😍

…In addition to incredible wines, famed beaches, over 7,000 nuraghe (mysterious prehistoric stone fortresses) dotting the island, goosebump-producing traditional music, wild rugged landscapes and a rich gastronomic tradition—Pecorino cheese (pecorino sardo) being a pretty big staple. 🐑

Looking forward to being back at the artisanal producer for a tasting with my two tours this spring.

2026 Sardinia tours are now sold out, but you can join me next year in April! 🌷

So excited!! 2027 Tours will be open for booking on March 31st at 12pm EST…in other words, sooooooooon!

My Oaxaca Mezcal + Culture Tour starts today—on the first day of spring! 🎉💐

I love coming back here every year in March when the jacarandas are in bloom and the high desert nights finally permit terrace dining without all those heavy layers. The whole city seems to exhale a springtime sigh!

My Oaxaca Tour was the first to sell out for 2026 and there is quite a waitlist for 2027. 🥰

I’ll be officially releasing my 2027 tour dates on March 31st. Be sure to sign up for my mailing list to get first dibs!

Have you ever heard of Grottaglie? 🕵🏻‍♀️

(Pronounced grow-TA-lyee-ey)

It’s Puglia’s main ceramic center—since medieval times (and some say much earlier than that!)—with furnaces and workshops carved into the area’s rock caves. Very special to see! 😮

Grottaglie has many producers and several styles but they are especially famous for rustic bowls and plates with speckled patterns (schizzato) and bright glossy colors.

This photo is from a roof terrace of one of my favorite producers in the Quartiere delle Ceramiche (Ceramic quarter). You can also see the ceramic tiled cupola of a church in the background. 👀

It’s a special spot and I make it a point to stop here on my Puglia + Basilicata Tours to tour a workshop and have time to explore—and buy beautiful pieces!

My 2026 Tour is now sold out, but I’ll be releasing my 2027 dates on March 31st if you would like to join me!

A trip to Mendoza would not be complete without a visit to the Andes mountains. 🏔️

What makes Mendoza’s abundant agriculture and viticulture even possible is the snowmelt from the Andes Mountains channeled into an extensive canal system created by the Huarpes over 500 years ago (with help from the Incas and later expanded upon by the Spanish).

On my Mendoza Wine + Culture Tour, we take a day to explore the Andes on horseback or on foot, followed by a traditional asado (barbecue) on the mountain estate.

It’s definitely a highlight of the trip!

If you would like to join me next year, I’ll be releasing tour dates on March 31st!

Happy International Women’s Day! 🩷

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than starting a wine tour with a rad group of women in Mendoza, Argentina! 🍾🎉💃🏻

The tour features many fabulous Argentinian women too 🤩:

After a weekend of rain, the skies have even cleared, auguring us a great week ahead and showing us that Mendoza really is “the land of sun and good wine”. 🌞🍷

Raising my class to all of us women! 🥂 Vamos!!

Sometimes I find a moment to take out my watercolor set on tours. 😍

This sketch is from a catamaran excursion on the north coast of Sardinia, looking back at land that pre-dates the formation of the Alps. 🤯

Hope to do more watercolor sketches on my travels this year (possibly with friend and artist ?? ✨)
