If we could pick any place in the world to chill by ourselves & explore for the next month, it would probably be the .

Thanks to , we've had plenty of time to look inwards & really consider the places in the world that have made us happiest. And we keep coming back to the Azores with its perfect weather, friendly people, charming coastal villages, mystical lagoons & hot springs, sprawling hiking trails that end w/ spectacular waterfalls ... and the food! Not only is the food delicious; it's all locally grown because of the awesome climate & fertile soil. Side note: With our local supermarket out of everything, we are reeeeeally appreciating the beauty of sustainable food culture.

It's fun to dream and we look forward to getting back to travel. But for now, we're keeping put and embracing where we are & all that we have. We hope you are too.
Which places in the world have made you happiest? Let us know.

There's a purple house over yonder
That's where my baby stays.

It's International dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. Every year on March 26th, people across the world can wear purple, post purple, embrace all things purple, and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Here are some incredible purple houses across America that we feel showcase the color to best effect. Frankly, we would eat these houses if we could they look so scrumptious.

Most of us are thanks to the pandemic. But that doesn't mean we can't get a little culture or education. Google Arts & Culture’s collection connects us w/ online tours & exhibits from many of the world's most treasured museums.

One of our favorite museums to experience virtually is the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Google Street View lets you easily explore the iconic building. You can wander up and down its famous spiral staircase, stopping at each level to enjoy important pieces of modern & contemporary art.

We highly recommend you view the collection. Her groundbreaking abstract art was way ahead of its time; and has been known to draw strong visceral reactions from viewing audiences. We were moved, confused, disturbed & inspired. Very powerful.

Concerts are cancelled. Sports events are postponed. Schools are closed. Tourist attractions are shut down. And some of us parents are going just a little stir-crazy. Fortunately, there are family-friendly ways to take a mental holiday from the confines of home. One of our faves is Disney theme park virtual tours. Google Maps created the tours using Street View Trekker (somebody puts on a backpack w/ mounted camera then walks through all the parks & the video is later spliced together) - so you really get rich, 360Β° panoramic experiences w/ gorgeous visuals of the happiest, most magical place on Earth. If you're like us, travel is life. So being cooped up indoors can be super difficult & stressful. Something we've been doing to take our minds off quarantine is virtual tours. It's an easy way to take a mini mental vacation; and it's been helping to soothe our travel cravings. We suggest the Google Maps video tour of the GalΓ‘pagos archipelago. You get immersive 360-degree views of the Enchanted Isles, both above ground and below its sparkling blue waters. Visit http://goo.gl/oau0g5 for the full experience.

Every year on March 20th, we celebrates the International ... because being happy is a fundamental human right. And animal right! Here are some pics of beautiful animals that share this incredible planet with us. Looking at them always makes us happier. https://bit.ly/BestWildlife

1. Sea Otter: Mostly found in Alaska, these charismatic & crafty seafood lovers have been known to open clams w/ rocks.

2. Blue Penguin: The smallest of all penguins, its strategically colored feathers help it blend w/ water & hide from predators.

3. Arctic Fox: Can detect prey underneath snow thanks to their incredibly strong senses of hearing & smell.

4. Black Footed Cat: Perhaps the smallest (and cutest) of all African wildcats, this furry feline is a highly skilled hunter who travels 5-20 miles per night for food.

5. Mandarin Ducks: These colorful creatures have long been considered symbols of fidelity in their native China.

6. Quokka: We could learn a lesson from these peaceful marsupials who happily share space, food and shelter!

7. Fennec Fox: Not only do those long ears locate underground prey; they help dissipate excess body heat.

8. Pygmy Hippo: Not a small common hippo, these endangered animals are unique, nocturnal & hard to spot in the wild.

9. Red Panda: Closely related to raccoons, these vegetarian carnivores are highly territorial & skilled climbers thanks to their false thumbs.

10. Wombat: These champion diggers may look slow and pudgy; but they can run up to 25 miles per hour!

During these trying times, it's so important that we support one other and look to the positive as much as we can. Today, we are embracing the early arrival of spring and longer days with more sunlight & blooming flowers. And we are thankful for these amazing pics of beautiful flowerbeds from around the world. We hope they bring a smile to your face like they did to ours. Comment with your fave.

Staying indoors for long stretches of time can be difficult & draining, especially for parents with young kids who get bored easily. Fortunately, the San Diego Zoo has created virtual tours with live and archival footage of its famous and beautiful wildlife. From pandas to polar bears to penguins, there's plenty of adorable animals to entertain & educate the family for hours.
