I just received our Adventures by Disney pre-adventure package!!! It was so exciting to see what they sent. We got luggage straps so our luggage is easily identifiable, daily exclusive collectible pins, a lanyard, water bottles, a backpack plus hats!! We’re going on the Arctic Expedition Cruise in July. I’ll be sure to post daily updates for everyone to see.

Yesterday was a whirlwind day in Amsterdam. We went to the Anne Frank Museum, which was very moving and emotional. No photography allowed in the museum. Then we had authentic Dutch pancakes for breakfast/lunch. I was so hungry, I started inhaling it when I got mine.
Dutch pancakes have more of a crepe flavor and consistency but are much larger(size of a plate) and a bit thicker. After that it was off to Keukenhof for the tulips. It was as beautiful as I hoped it to be. It was pouring all day, so it was very soggy.

Yesterday we went to Keukenhof to see the tulips. We also started the day at the Anne Frank museums. No photography allowed, but the visit was emotional and moving. At the end of the day, we were so tired we went to a Dutch Supermarket to grab some stuff for a quick easy dinner. Had a picnic in the room as it was pouring!!

It’s a very soggy day here in Amsterdam. This morning, we found what we think of as the BEST coffee place EVER!! After that we headed to the Anne Frank Museum, no pictures allowed and very moving and emotional. We’re off to Kuekenhof for the 🌷 Yes, it’s raining, but we leave tomorrow, so in the rain we go. Hopefully that means less people. Tulip pictures to follow.

I miss my ship Valiant Lady. It was a great time on Virgin Voyages as always. After debarking the ship, we did a whirlwind visit to Barcelona. We visited Sagrada Familia and had paella for dinner. It was a quick visit as we flew to Amsterdam this morning. We spent our afternoon at the Van Gogh Museum. Wow!! Our feet are basically fried right now. Resting for a bit before we head out for dinner.

Day 12(sea day #9)and Day 13 Cadiz, Spain yesterday was spent relaxing with a massage and napping after our first European full day tour. We had dinner in Test Kitchen and it was amazing as always. Today, we’re headed to Seville( Sevilla) for the day. Photos to follow later!!

Some photos from Sintra….The gardens in Sintra. Absolutely amazing, though the hike required was not advertised!! Next I tried a glass of Portuguese Green Wine. It’s called that due to the region in Portugal it comes from, plus the wine is also not aged very long. Then for dessert I had a shot of a Portuguese liquor called Ginginha. It’s a cherry flavored liquor that is served in a chocolate cup. It was delicious. Tasted like a chocolate covered cherry!!!!

On land today. Day #11 heading to Sintra. Stopped in Cascais on the way. It’s absolutely gorgeous here.

Sea Day #8 WE MADE IT!!!! Tomorrow land!! So far today have done Bingo with the Diva and now it’s nap time in the hammock. Later we have dinner at Razzle Dazzle, then it’s an early bedtime since we have to be off the ship for our excursion to Sintra at 9am.

Sea day #7 Almost to land!!! One more day at sea for us. Today has been gray, windy and showery. Spent some time at the dock today watching the wake while relaxing. Made my daily donation to the casino. Last night the captain closed off all of the outdoor areas on the ship, due to high winds. There also was a water spout seen not too far from the ship. Other sailors also said it hit the front of the ship and some cabins and windows were damaged. We heard/saw/felt nothing……. I also visited Squid Ink, the first tattoo parlor at sea.
