Meet Rebecca! Rebecca leads the creative and spirited Destination Services team who is focused on economic growth through tourism marketing, servicing, and arts. She loves working with our tourism partners to build a destination where people want to visit. As a proud San Marcos Rattler and Texas State University Bobcat, Rebecca loves to promote her hometown wherever her travels take her. Watch molten glass transform into art right before your eyes at Wimberley Glassworks. 🔥 See the artisans work their magic in the hot shop, then check out the finished masterpieces in the gallery.

What’s better than that? Getting hands-on (gloves are involved, obviously…) with their private and public glassblowing classes. Learn the craft, create your own masterpiece, and leave with a story (and some seriously cool glass) to tell.

It's the perfect blend of craft, creativity, and a little bit of fire.

This is unapologetically Charlotte. She is the Creative and Marketing Manager for all things San Marcos. Or so she likes to think. Actually, Char handles the creative, design, and marketing for the visitor side of the City… and anything else they let her get her hands on. Char also supervises the City’s public arts and mural programs (Arts-San Marcos, Texas). After hours, you can find her elbow deep in clay at the Dunbar Recreation Center ceramic studio space, taste testing new craft brews, virtual tubing, telling her pup Bean no for the millionth time, or making sure Sarah has put on enough sunscreen at the river.

Meet Jared! Jared keeps the Visit San Marcos team organized and in line. Well, he tries anyway... Jared is the friendly face welcoming visitors into the Tourist Information Center, serves as the liaison for the CVB advisory board, pays the bills, and wears a lot of hats! When he's not telling visitors about all the San Marcos hot spots, you can find him exploring the area with friends, soaking up some nightlife, and planning his next adventure.
