Well folks, y'all have spoken, and Let Freedom Ring Coffee Co. in Sandy Hook has taken home the title of Best Coffee Shop in the Tri-State!
I've got to admit, it's pretty cool seeing Sandy Hook come out on top. As many of you know, Sandy Hook is actually my hometown, so it was fun watching everyone back home rally around one of their own. For a small town, they sure showed up in force and proved that when a community gets behind a local business, great things can happen.
Of course, congratulations are also in order for Kouns Korner• Ironton Sip & Shop, Adam’s Flying Pig Coffee House, and Farmer's Daughter Coffee Company.
Making it to the final four is no small accomplishment, and each of these coffee shops has built a loyal following for a reason.
One thing these contests is a reminder of is how important it is to support locally owned businesses. They help give our towns their personality, create jobs, and become gathering places where neighbors turn into friends. Whether you're in a town of a few thousand people or a much larger city, local businesses thrive when their communities get behind them.
Thank you to everyone who nominated, voted, commented, and shared. Seeing people support the places they love is what makes these contests so much fun.
And to the folks in Sandy Hook: y'all made your hometown proud. Congratulations again to Let Freedom Ring Coffee House on being voted the Best Coffee Shop in the Tri-State!
