My name is Tiffany McCauley. I'm a blogger and writer. I've been in the online space for nearly 16 years now, mostly blogging about food. On September 10th, 2024, I hopped on a plane and moved to Spain. While I've definitely been a digital nomad this whole time, I guess you could say I bring new meaning to the term, "slow travel". Hey friends,

Becky here - many of you may know Tiffany from The Gracious Pantry (her first blog), and we wanted to share with you that she has passed away. If you are on the page for the GP, you probably read the announcement and that we were childhood friends for 40 years.

This community meant so much to her, and she loved connecting with all of you, whether through recipes, travel, or everyday life.

We know this may come as a shock, and we’re still processing it ourselves. We kindly ask for a little time and grace as we navigate next steps.

We are also exploring ways to honor her, continue her legacy, and carry forward her love for travel in a way that feels true to who she was.

In the meantime, thank you for being part of her world. Your support and kindness meant more to her than you know.

UPDATE
Well, I’m almost packed. I have one full week to go and it all feels so surreal. The moving van is reserved, and I have a couple things to keep me busy. But today is one week from my last full day in Campello. So weird!!!

UPDATE:
Well guys, I'm just wrapping up everything here in my last 14 days in El Campello. It's crazy how fast and slow the time is going simultaneously. On one hand, I can't keep up. On the other hand, it feels like an eternity. I'm sad to leave my friends, but I'm also looking forward to the new start. Having access to things will be life changing. So it's bitter sweet to be sure.
And somebody please slap me if I start talking about moving again after this. Within Oviedo is fine. But at some point, this girl needs to put down root somewhere!

Turns out it was only 37 degrees (3C). And all I had was a sweater and Izzy’s little bed to keep her warm. We did it! I’m safely (and warmly) at my gate. Should be back home in a few hours!

Well, this is an interesting predicament! They always tell you to get to the airport 2 hours early. I didn’t think twice about it until I got here and there is not a single human in sight at this hour! The doors are locked and it’s super cold out. So now I have to pace and keep me and Izzy warm in an empty park lot because there is less cold wind between the cars. Good times!

Well, it’s 3am and I’m in a taxi on my way to the airport. In a few weeks, I’ll be back in Oviedo. So now I go home and enjoy time with my friends there while I still have it. It’s hard starting over again. But I guess it just means adding more people to the list of people I can call my friends. So long for now, Oviedo!
