There are family vacations. And then there’s taking the family to a private island in Fiji.

Kokomo Private Island is one of those places that works remarkably well for multigenerational travel. Twenty-one beachfront villas, private residences with room to spread out, direct beach access + an entire island’s worth of ways to spend the day.

Dive the Great Astrolabe Reef. Get out on the water. Explore the island. Or claim a chair by the pool and accomplish absolutely nothing.

The beauty of Kokomo is that three generations don’t have to agree on what “vacation” means. Everyone gets their version of paradise, with plenty of reasons to come back together.

Even the arrival delivers. Private seaplane or helicopter over one of the largest barrier reefs in the world.

This one belongs on the family trip list.

Message me if Fiji has been on your radar. I know how to make Kokomo happen.

Several people messaged me after my recent post about Hotel Swexan in Dallas, so I thought I’d share a few more of my go-to hotels, city by city.

𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗣𝗘 through for where I’d stay →

Great hotels matter. But so do the relationships behind them.

I know the GMs. I know the sales teams. They know me + they know my clients. That personal connection can make a real difference before you ever check in.

AI and third-party booking engines can find you a room. They can’t replace relationships built face to face over years in this business.

And when you book with me, those relationships come with the added advantage of preferred access + Virtuoso benefits at participating properties.

See a city you’re headed to? Send me a message. I’ll take care of the rest.

In a city that has everything twice over, Hôtel Swexan still managed to add something different + needed in Dallas.

I had the chance to spend Friday evening there for dinner + drinks, and more importantly, to see the property firsthand. The rooftop pool is fantastic, the dining is impressive, and the entire hotel feels distinctly its own. So much character!

A big thank you to Alec Bendix for the hospitality + for giving me an even closer look at what Hôtel Swexan is bringing to Dallas.

This is why relationships matter in travel. Knowing the people behind the properties I recommend gives me a much better understanding of where my clients will be well taken care of.

And this one is right here in my own backyard.

That’s a wrap on Virtuoso Travel Week, and I’m en route back to Dallas, Texas, with new relationships, stronger connections, and plenty of inspiration.

This week was a reminder that the best travel experiences begin long before the journey itself—with the people, partnerships, and shared knowledge that allow us to serve our clients at the highest level.

“Service is black and white; hospitality is color.”

Service is getting every detail right. Hospitality is how we make people feel along the way—and that’s what turns a beautifully planned trip into something truly unforgettable.

Luxury comes in a lot of forms.

This week, I’m highlighting a few of my favorite wilderness escapes. Places where world-class hospitality meets wide-open landscapes, and the experience is every bit as memorable as the destination.

If a fall trip has been on your mind, it’s not too late to make it happen.

Follow along this week as I share four incredible Virtuoso properties that prove luxury doesn’t need a city skyline. If one catches your eye this week, send me a DM and let’s start planning.

Every time I look back at these photos, I remember why India remains one of my favorite places on earth.

A few favorite photos from my travels there + a reminder of something Anthony Bourdain said: “Travel is not reward for working, it’s education for living.”

India has a way of doing exactly that. It challenges you, surprises you + changes the way you see the world.

And a shoutout to my good friend + partner Krishna Pujari of Reality Tours & Travel, whose commitment to responsible tourism is a big part of what makes experiencing India so meaningful.

Adventure isn’t always about going farther. Sometimes it’s about coming home different.

Luxury isn’t one thing.

Sometimes it’s waking up in a jungle villa. Sometimes it’s an expedition to one of the world’s most remote destinations. Sometimes it’s an experience you’ll still be talking about years later.

I’ve put together a collection of some of the world’s most extraordinary adventure travel inspiration. If you’re ready to think beyond the usual luxury vacation, it’s worth a look.

Most people think the airport experience begins at security.

It doesn’t.

For the right traveler, it can begin in a private suite. No crowded terminals. No boarding gate chaos. Just a seamless arrival, private TSA, chef-prepared dining, and a chauffeur that takes you directly to your aircraft.

PS isn’t for every trip. But for some travelers, it’s one of those upgrades that changes the way you think about flying.

Part of my job is knowing when experiences like this make sense and making sure every detail is handled from the moment you leave home until you return.

If you’ve been curious about PS or want to know if it’s the right fit for your next trip, send me a DM. I’d be happy to walk you through it.

REFINED ADVENTURE. A Costa Rica Alternative.

I just got back to Dallas after a few days at One&Only Mandarina, and this place is exactly why I make time for trips like these.

Tucked between rainforest and the Pacific, it feels wonderfully removed from the crowds, yet it’s surprisingly easy to reach with mostly direct flights and a scenic drive from Puerto Vallarta.

One of my favorite parts? The coatis. These curious little rainforest locals wander the property, reminding you that nature isn’t something you visit here. It’s part of every moment.

I don’t visit places like this just to admire them. I come to build relationships, meet the people behind the experience, and make sure when I recommend a resort to my clients, it’s because I’ve walked it, stayed in it, and know exactly who I’m trusting with your vacation.

Day 2 at One&Only Mandarina.

The photos speak for themselves, but what they don’t show is why I’m here.

Every visit is about strengthening relationships with the people behind the resort, experiencing what’s new, and making sure I can confidently recommend it to my clients.

One thing that continues to impress me is how easy it is to get here. A nonstop flight to Puerto Vallarta from many U.S. cities, an easy drive north, and right now One&Only Mandarina is including complimentary airport transfers. Luxury starts well before check-in.

Once you arrive, you’re surrounded by jungle, ocean, incredible dining, and a level of privacy that’s increasingly hard to find.

This is exactly why I make these trips. So when it’s time for your vacation, I can recommend places I’ve personally experienced and know the people who will be taking care of you.
