Tierra y Vino’s story is truly one of labor and love. Andres Ibarra has been a part of the Santa Ynez Valley wine community since he was a teenager, first working in the vineyards and eventually finding his way into the cellar. He later met Caren Rideau, whose background in design, travel, and food shaped her own connection to wine.

From there, the two slowly built Tierra y Vino, their small boutique winery in Buellton. Together they’ve built a legacy that reflects their shared love of wine and the connection it brings.

Passport Weekend begins today, so make sure to visit the Tierra y Vino tasting room and experience the heart of Andres and Caren’s work.🍷

East Valley Vineyard was planted in 1974, back when people in the Santa Ynez Valley were still figuring out what grapes really worked here. What began as a family vineyard slowly grew into Dascomb Cellars, a boutique winery shaped by a lot of patience, trial and error, and years of learning the land. 🌱

While the vineyard and winemaking practices have changed dramatically since the 70’s, the focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and other varietals has remained the same. 🍇

If you’re spending Passport Weekend exploring our region, come spend a little time at Dascomb Cellars. You’ll find a lot of history that’s been unfolding here for decades. 🍷

Imagine sharing a little (maybe more than a little) wine with your friends and deciding to create a winery. That’s exactly what Ross and Lynn Dee Rankin did 25 years ago. Their vision was to lovingly create a very small, truly boutique winery that produced handcrafted and surprising wines.

With wines that spend as long as 6 years aging in barrel, Imagine is a unique and rewarding wine tasting experience that you don’t want to miss during Passport Weekend.🍷

Ron and Nancy Piazza fell in love with the Santa Ynez Valley eventually making Ballard Canyon and what’s now Bella Vista Vineyard their home. Living among the vines, they began Piazza Family Wines In 2018. Today, alongside winemaker Gretchen Voelcker, they focus on organic farming and minimal intervention, producing wines that showcase the fruit purely and precisely.

With your Wine Country Weekend Passport, you can taste among the vines and experience these wines in their true natural setting. 🍇🌱
