Anyone else appreciating the l’il pollinators around these days? We also have quite a few tiny humming birds visiting the flowers but I have not had to much luck capturing them in a pic - too quick! 🦋 🐝

Appreciating this quote today: “In a pandemic, self-isolation is called quarantine. In Buddhism, it is called retreat. From the cave of our home, like the meditators of ancient times, we can consciously kindle the lamp of compassion and connection."

Whatever our spiritual path, we can use this opportunity to explore our inner landscapes. We can be with silence, be with boredom, be with unease and anxiety. We can be nowhere else but here with what is. Beautiful artwork by beautiful

Healing hot springs and hiking ... coming right up as part of our ‘In Your Elements’ Retreat.
🌎
Hot springs are one of Mother Nature’s sweetest medicines. They are created when rain seeps below the Earth's surface collecting in underground pools or aquifers. Magma heats this water, which then rises back up to the surface through cracks in the earth's crust, forming a lovely hot spring.
🌎
Hot springs have an especially high mineral content - because heated water can hold more dissolved solids. This means a given hot spring can contain everything from calcium, magnesium, silica, lithium, and even radium. I’ve heard it described as a multivitamin for the skin 🦋Sulphur in particular explains the aroma springs can sometimes have. Here’s a brief breakdown of some of the mineral benefits:

Magnesium: aids with clear complexion, and healthy looking skin
Potassium: eliminates toxins and promotes healthy skin
Sodium: decreases inflammation in swollen joints, and can help the lymphatic system
Sulphur: helps with respiratory problems and skin inflammations
