Longtime Princess Cruises Captain Gennaro Arma has announced his retirement, concluding an extraordinary 28‑year career with the company. Captain Arma, who has commanded some of the fleet’s most notable ships, leaves behind a legacy of leadership, integrity, and service.

He joined Princess Cruises in 1998 as a cadet and steadily rose through the ranks, taking his first command of the Sea Princess in 2015. Over the years, he went on to captain the Diamond Princess (2018), Discovery Princess (2022), and most recently the Star Princess.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Captain Arma personally. He is a tremendous leader and an exceptional human being, and his departure is a significant loss for Princess. I wish him nothing but continued success and fulfillment in the next chapter of his life.

I’ve just returned from an amazing Seminar at Sea aboard the Emerald Princess, and I’m reflecting on what a remarkable experience it was. Advisors from across the country gathered to deepen their product knowledge through engaging educational seminars, explore the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, and foster genuine connections that will last well beyond the voyage.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated. Your energy, engagement, and commitment helped make this event such a success. I truly appreciate each of you and the friendships we created along the way.
