One of the reasons I love the tour business so much is because there are such fabulous tour directors in the field that I get to work with & become friends with. A classic example is Sarah Covey, who is in Santa Fe with a large Trafalgar group that are in our area to go to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. We had lunch together to catch up with each other. We had so much fun, just laughing & reminiscing! So great to see you, Sarah! Love you, honey! Hope to see you again soon!

Today, Custom Tours by Clarice hosted a couple from Illinois who were interested in visiting Los Alamos in our area due to having seen "Oppenheimer" when it played in theaters across the country a year ago. So, I took this photo of them @ White Rock Overlook on our way to Los Alamos, with its spectacular view of the Rio Grande River below. When I first moved to New Mexico, I worked for 1 of the contractors @ the lab & had my Q clearance, so I am very knowledgeable about the lab & their goals & objectives. While in that area, we went to see the town of Los Alamos & most specifically, the Bradbury Science Museum, with its wonderful documentary film about the founding of the Los Alamos National Lab & replicas of Fat Man & Little Boy, the 2 bombs that ended WWII.

Yesterday, Custom Tours by Clarice hosted a group of 40 visitors to Santa Fe from Alberta, Canada who are here on a Promotion Tour to attend the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. I did a tour of the historic district of Santa Fe for them, & then we went to the Plaza to hear the beautiful salsa music of Manzanares. Thank you, David Manzanares for saluting this lovely group of Canadians from the Plaza's stage! Then, they went to my home for a Mexican Fiesta, complete with live entertainment by Ed Valdez, who taught everyone how to do the Mexican Hat Dance. One of the ladies in the group was celebrating her birthday, so Ed serenaded her by singing Las Manianitis as a way of saying "Happy Birthday". We capped of the Mexican dinner off by serving the state cookie of New Mexico, the bizcochito!

I offer my sincerest condolences to my many friends from Great Britain on the passing of the great Queen Elizabeth II, a selfless & devoted monarch who loved & inspired her people. I cry today, with & for you. God bless you, Queen Elizabeth! Well done. Well done. Well done. We were fortunate to watch as you exhibited an amazing love of your great country & a gentility that you brought to the Royal Family. Rest in Peace, Glorious Lady. You graced our lives for many years.
