CASTING FOR KIDS/TEENS FOR NETFLIX FEATURE FILM
“THE MOTHER” STARRING JENNIFER LOPEZ

Casting leading role ZOE (11-15 years old)
Actress should be able to portray someone with Latinx heritage, have an American Accent and be open to physical training for this very active and exciting role.

Character: Zoe is a 13-year-old girl, the cherished adopted child of a loving couple. Zoe’s life has been ordinary in the very best way. Her regular life ends when her identity is discovered, and she is violently kidnapped in an attempt to draw out her real mother. Separated from her adopted parents, Zoe is thrown into a relationship with her birth mother who is ill-equipped emotionally, but who has a primal need to love and protect her. And teach her how to survive.

Story: After ten years hidden in the Alaskan wilderness, a deadly female assassin, THE MOTHER, must come out of hiding to protect the young daughter she had to give up at birth.

The script is confidential at this time but will be shared as they narrow down their contenders for final callbacks. CASTING NOTICE FOR KIDS:

4-8 year old's child to participate in a new social experiment series called Kid's Theory.

The series explores how kids deal with challenges and encourages them to think critically or morally by indulging in these social experiments. The task given to the kids will be a surprise on set.

An example would be "Can a 6-year-old kid resist the temptation of eating a chocolate cookie when left alone in the room with a full jar for 20 mins?" Or "What advice would an 8-year-old kid give a 28-year-old adult going through a break up?

They are following all Covid guideline restrictions and will have a covid compliance officer on set as well as administer rapid tests.

Anxiety is produced when the brain goes into fight or flight mode. It does that when it perceives a threat. In that state only the negative, the problems, are seen. The main benefit of exercises that get a person out of a state of anxiety into a state of relaxation is that in that state possibilities are seen. In other words, often within only a few minutes, one can see solutions that were simply not perceived before. Beyond inducing a state of calm, that is the true power of relaxation.

The more a person practices these exercises, some of which are from ancient traditions, others are compiled from the latest findings of neuroscience, the more the brain stays in a positive state of mind, enabling a person to make more effective life choices. It’s a positive reinforcing spiral. More calm brings about better decisions brings about a better life situation. This, in turn, induces more calm, induces better choices, and so forth. While we often cannot control what happens to us, we can choose how to respond. As Victor Frankel states, freedom lies in the gap between stimulus and response.

Adventures in Filmmaking
A different film is made each week!
Ages 8 - 12 years

Students will write and star in their own original short film.
They will be guided to collaborate with their peers bringing their thoughts and ideas to the page, and from the page to the screen.
Students will learn how to collaborate in creating a short movie and practice shooting and editing techniques to create a cohesive movie.
This is a one-of-a-kind experience, and we are thrilled to be able to see what ideas our students come up with and help them make it a reality on screen!
The week will conclude BY SHOWING THE FINAL PROJECT ON THE BIG SCREEN IN FRONT OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Students will leave the camp with the production skills required to create a movie, along with footage of their very own short film.

Be the star of your own show with a YouTube channel you create yourself.
At the beginning of the week, students will learn how to utilize fundamental YouTube features and create content around their specific passion or interest.
At the end of the week, students will have learned to create their YouTube channel from scratch, configure their live stream, engage a live audience on Twitch, and create engaging content for YouTube.
Plan a production schedule, write the script, set up your lighting, and add special effects as you edit. Create custom thumbnails and channel graphics.
Learn how to post your polished pieces and build an audience, then shoot one final video in any style you choose.
Friday Showcase
At the end of each week, students can invite their family and friends to join them to showcase their final projects.
