Trying to capture the afternoon that we spent high up in the mountains of Chianti being catered to and fed by the passionate Leonardo is almost impossible. One needs to be there to feel the full magic of his generosity, his authentic food, his humor and his attentiveness. This group got it. They understood what a rare treasure this place and this man is. Thank you to all who shared this experience with us and grazie per tutto Leonardo!!!

First day or our Tuscany tour started beautifully. A delicious tour and lunch at Corzano e Paterno where they make award winning cheeses wine and olive oil. And what a great group of people!

I highly recommend Formaggioteca Terroir formaggioteca in Florence for their thoughtfully curated cheese selection and creative menu of cheese dishes, plus a few other edible treasures and a beautiful wine selection. The owners are cheese affineurs (they age their own cheeses) in Tuscany. The location is walking distance from the center but away from the maddening crowds in a quiet corner of the city. I was joined by a dear old friend who, along with her husband, are award-winning film producers and documentarians based in Tuscany: modiomedia They filmed the owners of Formaggiotecca Terroir as part of a television series. Great lunch!

Firenze at night, by far our favorite time to be astonished at the architecture that has stood the test of centuries. The buildings of the Uffizi on the sides, with the cupola of the Duomo at the bottom and the Palazzo Vecchio at the top.
