June 2026 Fishing report

Stripers
Closes June 15th
Look for Stripers in 35 to 45 foot of water mainly in the creek channels and up on the hills. Fish live blueback herring on Carolina Rigs. Mark the fish and try to put your baits right above them.
Catfish
Still plenty of Catfish shallow. Fish around the cypress trees and stumps in 5 to 10 foot of water. Carolina rigs with cut shad and cut Herring will be your best baits for the shallow water fish.
The drift bite in 12-20 ft has also been good. Fish Santee cooper rigs with herring and shad.
Clams are starting to float and the bite has started on the sandy clam beds. Fish Carolina rigs with cut shad herring shrimp.
Crappie
Most of the fish have spawned and worked back to the 10-20 ft brush. Cast small Charlie brewer sliders or live minnows under a Carolina shallow. For the deeper fish on brush Cast jigs or minnows under a cork for best results. Tight lining over the deeper brush will produce also.
Bream
The bream will be on the bed this month. Look for beds in 5-10 ft around grass and sandy banks. Crickets will be your best bait.

Bass fishing in June can still be a lot of fun! 98% of the fish will be post spawn with bass still shallow and some deep.
Bream beds in 3-10ft of water are great places to find big bass (stick baits, jigs, and topwaters)
Ledges 10-20ft of water (deep diving crankbait, hollow body swimbaits , and Texas rig worms)
4-10 ft hydrilla / eel grass (Texas rig worm, drop shot, and bladed jigs work great)
