Here's a honeymoon tip for you: When making your travel plans, make sure the bride uses the same name as appears on her passport. If the honeymoon is shortly after the wedding, there will be no time to update the passport and names must match for any international travel. Have questions? Just ask a travel agent!

Ever think about Japan as a honeymoon destination? My clients did and I helped them plan an incredible experience that included: Four nights in Kyoto and day tours in Kyoto and surrounding areas, one night in a traditional Japanese Ryokan, four nights in Tokyo with tours including a trip to view Mount Fuji from Lake Ashi, a volcanic crater lake, and one night in Osaka before returning home. Japan can be a complicated trip to plan, so these newlyweds traveled with ease since they had professional travel planners take charge. Hotels, tours, trains and dinner reservations were all in place before they ever said "I do." This might not be a trip for you, but you never know....

As promised, here is the first of many honeymoons I'm going to share with you. This was a wonderful couple, full of adventure and wanting to see as much of Italy and Greece as possible. This type of trip is not for everyone, but these newlyweds loved it. They wanted to stay busy busy busy and that's what they got.
They started in Milan and we were able to get them exclusive tickets to see The Last Supper. Next stop was magical Venice, Gondola ride included. Florence was the next step, with a day excursion to Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Pisa. They had lunch at a Chianti Wine Farm and then explored a winery in the heart of Tuscany and ended with a tour that included the iconic Leaning Tower. Believe it or not, they had energy to then go to Rome, for five nights of exploration, dining and history. From Rome they took the train to Naples and had a driver take them to Sorrento. After a few days of fun in Sorrento, they flew to Athens and ended in gorgeous, spectacular Santorini for some well deserved relaxation and scuba diving, kayaking and a private transfer to the airport and then home to begin their new life as husband and wife. I'm exhausted just thinking about this but it was everything the bride and groom wanted.
