At Roam with Karen, I believe exceptional travel planning is about far more than making reservations. It is about understanding how every part of a journey fits together, anticipating the details, communicating clearly, and creating an experience that feels organized, personal, and thoughtfully managed from beginning to end.
I am based in Florida, with strong roots and an established client base in Tennessee, while serving travelers across the United States and around the world. I work with families, couples, solo travelers, friend groups, church groups, small businesses, and corporate travelers, tailoring each experience to the traveler’s priorities, interests, travel style, and budget.
My planning experience spans elevated resort stays, European multi-country and multi-city journeys, Alaska cruises and cruise tours, river and ocean cruising, Caribbean vacations and cruises, family-friendly resorts, and scenic rail experiences such as Rocky Mountaineer’s Canyon Spirit. I also create customized road-trip itineraries throughout the United States and work with carefully vetted travel suppliers offering classic escorted tours, small-group exploration, and solo adventures, allowing me to provide options across a wide range of travel styles and price points.
My destination research and client planning have included Ireland, Scotland, England, Belgium, Germany, Amsterdam and the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Canada, the Caribbean, the Rocky Mountain region, and destinations throughout the United States. I also assist with family theme-park vacations, destination celebrations, pre- and post-cruise experiences, Caribbean resort stays, and itineraries connecting multiple cities, countries, and modes of transportation.
A significant part of the value I bring is managing the organization and logistics behind the journey. Depending on the trip, that can include air travel, hotels and resorts, private or shared transfers, cruise arrangements, travel protection, excursions, rail transportation, pre- and post-cruise accommodations, and complex multi-city or multi-country itineraries. Clear communication, careful research, strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through are central to the way I work.
Luxury is also personal. It does not always mean selecting the most expensive option. It may mean arranging a private transfer after an international flight, choosing the right hotel or resort in the right location, selecting the cruise experience that best matches a client’s priorities, or simply creating an itinerary in which the logistics have already been thoughtfully handled. I enjoy working with both luxury and mid-range travelers, helping clients determine where added investment will enhance the experience and where thoughtful choices can provide greater value.
Whether I am coordinating an elevated European journey, an Alaska cruise and land experience, a Caribbean resort vacation, a river or ocean cruise, a luxury yacht sailing, a family theme-park getaway, a solo adventure, a group journey, business travel, or a scenic road trip across the United States, my goal remains the same: to bring every moving piece together with professionalism, versatility, and personal attention so each client can travel with confidence.
