Unfortunately our little cottage took a beating during hurricane Milton last week and suffered some roof damage.
Lots of shingles were blown off allowing rain to leak inside, soaking the insulation + drywall in the living room ceiling, and causing a portion of the ceiling to collapse.
Thankfully the damage was minimal - it could’ve been so much worse.
Rosanne’s two sons, Christian and Jaiden who are currently living in Orlando, graciously dropped everything and headed to Sarasota the next day to tackle the initial clean up work and place a temporary cover tarp on the roof.
Our FL neighbors, Ken & Juanita, did a great job securing our patio furniture and plants and kept us informed throughout the storm of power outages and eventually the damaged roof.
We’re so grateful to have connected with a reputable roofing contractor, Matt Beiler at Beiler Premiere Roofing, to get the roof fixed and replaced this week. I highly recommend them!
Also a big shout out to Rosanne’s other son & his wife, Jonathan & Grace Gingerich, for driving all the way from TX to repair the insulation and drywall.
It’s been a little stressful trying to coordinate all the work that needs to be done but we’re finally starting to breathe easier knowing the house is getting repaired so quickly!
What a blessing everyone has been!
