THE BIG WEEK HAS STARTED!
Come out to the Matagorda County Fairgrounds this week to support the hardest-working kids in Texas. From the Swine Show on Thursday to the high-adrenaline PRCA Rodeo every night, there’s no better place to be.

​​ SATURDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING

Boaters can communicate with LEAD BOAT (Constable's Office Boat) by using VHF 66

ROUTE: Mouth of Caney Creek next to Larry’s Bait Camp to log cabin—(CCE boat ramp #1)

​​​​ ​ GUIDELINES FOR 2025:

Residents on the creek of Caranchua, Seagull, Creekside and S. Redbend Rd.

1. Please decorate your piers with Christmas lights as this helps the boats to navigate the creek and they enjoy your decorations also!

2. Please DO NOT turn on your fishing lights as they blind boaters!

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM COMMITTEE AND LEAD BOAT (CONSTABLE BILL ORTON):

1. KEEP INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY CLEAR FOR BARGES

2. Boaters line up behind Lead Boat in the Intracoastal Waterway by Larry’s Bait Camp and wait for him to lead you!

3. Boaters please maintain 100 yards consistently between boats!

4. Boaters please finish the whole parade for viewers before returning down the Creek!

5. Please wait by Boat Ramp 1 (by log cabin) til parade is completed before going home.

THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR THIS EVENT!
PLEASE COME WITH YOUR DECORATED BOATS AND ENJOY THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!
