Minnesota nice is alive and well in Sauk Centre!
Today, we heard from a lovely woman who was planning a special visit to Sauk Centre. She was looking for a comfortable, accessible place where her 91-year-old mother could meet a new baby in the family and Sauk Centre was the exact middle for the two.
She had already spoken with Wendy at the City of Sauk Centre and couldn’t say enough about how friendly and helpful she was. When we returned her call, we were happy to offer a few ideas based on the accessibility, comfort and quiet setting her family was looking for. Sinclair Lewis Park and Jitters Java Café happened to be two recommendations that seemed especially well suited for this meaningful visit, just a couple of the many welcoming places our community has to offer.
It was such a sweet reminder that the visitor experience begins long before someone arrives. Sometimes it starts with a phone call, a helpful recommendation and someone who takes the time to make a stranger feel welcome. Thank you, Wendy!
