This Halloween, the legends you know from your favorite horror movies come to life aboard the Museum Ship Valley Camp. 📞 🎈

Every turn could bring you face-to-face with another nightmare.
Gather your bravest friends and step aboard… if you dare! 🤡 👻

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Flashing lights are used during the event and may affect guests with photosensitivity.

Downtown Fall Fest 2026 — Saturday, October 24

Fall is officially taking over Ashmun Street.

Join us Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 12 PM to 8 PM for Downtown Fall Fest in Sault Ste. Marie — a full day of shopping, eating, exploring, and celebrating the season right in the heart of downtown. Ashmun Street will be closed in front of the businesses so the whole block becomes one big fall celebration.

What's happening:

🍁 Free vendor spaces — first come, first served. Local makers, artists, and businesses, come set up and sell. 🏰 Bounce house for the kids — because nobody wants to hear "I'm bored" at a fall festival. 🎃 Pumpkin painting — grab a pumpkin and make it yours. 🏀 Sault High Basketball fundraiser — come support the team. 🧙♀️ The Dancing Witches

In town for Great Lake State Weekend? Come downtown for the fun before the game — this is the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

Later that evening: Tailgate at Taffy Abel before Lake State Hockey vs. Bowling Green, with the puck drop at 7:07 PM. Make a day of it — festival downtown, hockey at night.

Shop. Eat. Explore. Celebrate fall downtown.

To all of our guests, schools, bus and cruise ship tour operators, partners, and friends—thank you for making this a wonderful year at Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours.

Whether you visited Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, for your first Soo Locks boat tour, brought students aboard to learn, traveled with a group, or returned to enjoy the St. Marys River again, we’re grateful you chose to spend part of your journey with us. Your smiles, kind words, recommendations, and continued support mean so much to our family and crew.

As the only locally owned and family-operated boat tour company in Sault Ste. Marie, sharing the Soo Locks and the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has been our privilege since 1959. Thank you for helping us carry that tradition forward.

💛⚓ It’s a wrap on our 68th consecutive season of providing fun, educational, and memorable experiences for guests of all ages! 💙

As a locally owned and family-operated tour provider, all of us at Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours are deeply grateful to everyone who made our 2026 season so special.

To our guests, school groups, motorcoach and cruise ship tour operators, partners, friends, and dedicated crew—thank you! We had so much fun sharing the Soo Locks, incredible freighters, and the beauty of the St. Marys River with you in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Whether this was your first trip or a favorite family tradition, we’re humbled that you chose to spend part of your day with us. Your support keeps this local tradition sailing, and we hope to welcome you aboard again in 2027! 🚢

Our tours have finished for the season and will return in mid-May 2027, but our business office remains open weekdays to answer questions and assist with reservations, group tours, and private charters.
