🥂 A TOAST TO SAUSALITO IS ALMOST HERE! 🎨🎶

Join us Saturday, October 17th, from 1 PM to 5 PM as Caledonia Street comes alive for four hours of live music, local art, delicious food, shopping, family activities, and a celebration of our wonderful Sausalito community!

This FREE street festival, presented by the City of Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department and the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, brings together local artists, makers, merchants, w**eries, breweries, and distilleries for an afternoon of fun for all ages. Adults can also enjoy the B**r, W**e & Spirits Festival with tasting wristbands available for purchase.

🧜‍♀️ Don’t miss the Mermaid Costume Contest from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM! All ages are welcome to show off their creativity and compete for prizes in three fun categories!

🌊 COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY | OCTOBER 9–13

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory beginning Friday, October 9, at 9 AM through Tuesday, October 13, at 3 PM for bayshore communities along San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay.

⚠️ Minor coastal flooding is expected during the highest high tides, potentially impacting low-lying waterfront areas, roads, parking lots, and shoreline pathways throughout Southern Marin.

Stay Safe & Be Prepared:

✅ Avoid driving or walking through flooded roadways.
✅ Use caution near waterfront areas during high tides.
✅ Move vehicles and valuables away from flood-prone areas.
✅ Allow extra travel time and watch for localized flooding.
✅ Stay informed about changing tidal conditions.

Southern Marin Fire District encourages residents and businesses in flood-prone areas to take precautions.

☀️ WARM WEATHER AHEAD | STAY COOL & STAY SAFE

Above-average temperatures are expected across Marin County and much of the Bay Area. October is historically one of Marin’s hottest months, so please take steps to stay safe.

• Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
• Drink plenty of water and stay cool.
• Check on older adults, children and others vulnerable to heat.
• Prepare for possible power outages.
• Sign up for AlertMarin and monitor local conditions.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat illness. Heavy sweating, weakness, nausea or muscle cramps may signal heat exhaustion. Confusion, loss of consciousness or a body temperature of 104°F or higher may indicate heat stroke — call 911 immediately.
