We do champagne sunrises, romantic sunsets, and bachelorette trips anytime! Call us for the best boat ride ever! In the interest of safety, we travel during daylight hours only and observe a 25 mph wind speed operating limit.

Four trips to Daufuskie Island, South Carolina in the rain? No sweat!

Captain's Log:

One of our favorite human beings just had a tough choice to make. Spend 15 thousand dollars on a back surgery for her beloved dog "Tater," or put him down.
She didn't think twice.
Tater lives. And walks.
We were able to help her get past this with a 1/15 of the bill donation. A huge fundraiser happening today at Cheers to You , where she works, will hopefully cover the rest of it.
That money we gave her? It wasn't ours. It was yours. It was the money you gave us to take you on the boat. So thank you. From us, Jill, Jason and Tater.

Three runs and we're done before the rain! Thank you to all who hustled today and thank you for being great customers!.They's 12 more friendly souls on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina than there was when we started this day.
Time for a cold beer:-)

Well, after posting a live video the other day about the summer storms fixing to affect our plans, yesterday it happened.
We had several hours of strong and persistent rain with thunder and lightning that impacted our schedule.
We had two runs to Daufuskie Island, South Carolina scheduled, taking 9 family members (5 and 4) at 2:30 and 3:30.
The weather had other ideas. (In the military, there's a saying, "no plan survives first contact with the enemy.")
Luckily for us our second captain works at the Savannah Boathouse. And he was there working yesterday.
So we asked him to help us turn two runs on one boat into one run on two boats.
The rain let up at a few minutes until 3 pm. We loaded up our passengers and got underway at 3:06.
And got them to DI safe, warm and dry; a little bit early or a little bit late depending on your perspective.
When asked about the ride by Captain Dan, the folks on Dash 2 were all smiles.
Have a great vacation Sadler clan!

So we are doing a big loop tour yesterday afternoon (strong winds precluded a trip to New Cut--we pivoted) and we saw a "tall ship" outbound in the Wilmington River.

We swapped prolonged blasts of ship's whistles by way of a salute.

Seeing a piece of maritime history such as this is a special event. But taking a picture of a passenger wearing one of our uniform shirts as she takes a picture of the sailing vessel?
That's perfect!

PS If you would like one of our shirts let us know. Jim Marsh is our guy for apparel and delivers to the Savannah Boathouse. You can also see his artwork on display and for sale there:-)

We are once again a flight of two!

Dash 1 back in the water, cleaned up and ready to go. Lower unit seals replaced. Water pump replaced, since Brian was in there anyway. We're going to take a couple of friends on a run through New Cut at high tide to verify that everything is working right then she will be making money tomorrow!
Thank you Brian for working on a Sunday and of course Savannah Boathouse ...

We remember you...

It’s an incredible privilege to enjoy Memorial Day. Most of us are basking in a long weekend, filled with sunshine and salt air. Today as our SBH crew sends families out for on last bit of fun, we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to a very grateful nation. Today, for thousands of families, they are remembering a husband or wife, a son or daughter, a brother or sister, an aunt or an uncle, a niece or a nephew, or maybe a very best friend. They miss a real person who has left an un-fillable void. We offer our sincerest condolences to everyone missing your service member. May their memory be eternal.
