I just spent the last few days staying at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya. It’s an upscale, adults-only all-inclusive resort located approximately 30–40 minutes from Cancun International Airport. This resort is great for travelers seeking relaxation and a laid back atmosphere.
🛏️The rooms at Valentin Imperial are spacious. Each room is has a stocked mini-bar, robes & slippers, and 24-hour room service, enhancing in-room comfort and convenience.
🍽️ Variety of restaurants and cuisine options, the resort manages to cater to diverse palates. Our group favorite was the fresh churros stand each night, but to our disappointment on our last night there, we discovered that it isn’t available on Saturdays. Catholic mass services are also available on Sundays.
🌳The resort is large and spread out, with beautifully maintained, jungle-like grounds that create a natural, secluded feel with coatis and monkeys around.
✅Both check in and check out is personal, quick, and simple! Check-in officially begins at 3:00 PM, but early arrivals are welcome to use the resort’s facilities while waiting for their rooms. Guests receive a text when the room is ready and are then transported by golf cart with their luggage.
🎭Valentin Imperial is ideal for those seeking a quieter vacation. Some daytime activities include: mechanical bull, violinist or DJ by the pool, couples dance, guacamole lesson, mixology, bike tour, beach & pool volleyball, and digital BINGO. Nighttime entertainment includes: magic show, circus night, burlesque show, Mexican show, Michael Jackson show, and Fire show. Water sports are not included, but guests can enjoy amenities like tennis and basketball courts and a fitness room offering some scheduled classes. The resort app is very easy to use to view all the resort has to offer! Excursions can be conveniently booked on-site.
📝Service is consistently great and attentive throughout the resort. Tips are not included, so guests should budget accordingly. AND No timeshare sales pressure!
Things to consider when choosing what time of year to visit:
•Air conditioning is great in suites, but restaurants and other parts of the resort were warm and humid.
•The main pool is beautiful and large, but was uncomfortably warm with the high summer temp
•Sargassum (brown, smelly seaweed) is worse during the summer months so if you’re a nice swimmable beach, avoid going at its peak between May-September.
