This November, Valerie, Oriana, and Janet will participate in the Travel Elevates 5K at the Signature Travel Network Conference in Orlando, helping raise funds for the Global Impact Grant program, which supports meaningful projects in travel communities around the world. 🌎

Giving back is important to us at Edgewood Travel. Over the past two years, our agency has donated $5,000 to support this important initiative, and we’re proud to continue that commitment by participating in this year’s 5K!

It’s our job to stay curious, explore what’s next, and find extraordinary places—even for travelers who’ve been everywhere. Valerie Edgemon just returned from Namibia with a group of seasoned Africa travelers. Africa has a way of calling you back, and this trip exceeded expectations! Incredible wildlife on the “nature drives,” wonderful accommodations, delicious food (well, maybe not the caterpillars! 😂), and adventures worth adding to your wish list. What’s on Valerie's? 🧳 Don’t Let Your Luggage Get Left Behind
A missed connection can create a domino effect—and sometimes your luggage gets caught in the chaos, too. Here’s how to make a luggage delay a little less stressful:

• 🧳 Pack a carry-on with the essentials. Keep medications, toiletries, a change of clothes, important documents, and anything you absolutely need with you.
• 🏷️ Make your luggage easy to identify. Use a distinctive bag tag or luggage strap, and make sure your contact information is up to date.
• 📱 Use luggage tracking. An AirTag or similar tracker can give you some peace of mind if your bag takes a detour.
• ⏰ Build in connection time. Tight connections leave little room for delays—and can increase the chances of you and your luggage ending up on different flights.
• 📸 Take a photo of your luggage. A quick photo of your bag and its contents can be helpful if you need to report it missing or delayed.

A little preparation before you leave can make a big difference when travel doesn’t go exactly as planned. ✈️
