In honor of March being Womens History Month SMT honors Juliette Gordon Low.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, Juliette Gordon Low, or "Daisy" as she was fondly called, spent her early life in the South as a member of a socially and financially elite family. After the death of her millionaire husband, Low met William Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts, which inspired her to create the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.

You can tour her historical home at 10 Oglethorpe St, Savannah, Ga, Mon-Sat 10am to 5pm.

Looking for something to do this weekend?

4-10 p.m. July 4. River Street. Wear your best red, white and blue to commemorate Independence Day down on historic River Street.
